Movie Summary:
A girl who's sick of the social strictures of junior high is transformed into a grownup overnight. In this feel-good fairy tale, teenager Jenna (Christa B. Allen) wants a boyfriend, and when she's unable to find one, she fantasizes about being a well-adjusted adult. Suddenly, her secret desire becomes a reality, and she is transformed into a 30-year-old (Jennifer Garner). But adulthood, with its own set of male-female challenges, isn't as easy as it looks.

I have a couple regrets I'd do over. If my children that would be, would be affected by those choices, I think if they're meant to be mine they would still find me. So yes, I have a few things I wish I could over.

Any chance you could be persuaded to watch the modern remake of St Trinians? It’s utterly bonkers and I think it might appeal to you. Ideally, watch Wild Child first, then St Trinians. Because the first is the classic, bad girl gets sent to straight laced boarding school and it’s all lovely (but quite well done), and then St Trinians is good girl goes to the bad boarding school and……. And it even has some of the same actors in it which makes it extra special. Actually, speaking of actors, the cast list is insane. Has to be watched to be believed. Impossible to describe.

My VERY BEST friend in the whole wide world was someone I was tight with from 5th grade through 12th grade. We never really stayed in touch after that. She married three times and had kids and lived all over the world. I moved to NYC, never married and never had any kids. It's so strange, because I can remember never being able to imagine not being best friends. We were religious nerds and loved reading books. Then we became adults and became totally different people. When I saw her at the last high school reunion, we didn't really have much to talk about.

This is a surprisingly emotional movie. I saw this in the theater when it came out, and the audience was absolutely crushed when Matt turns Jenna down at the end and then gives her the dream house he built for her at 13. When she gets her second chance, it's so satisfying because she had literally faced the terrible person she would become if her priorities didn't change, and, the second time around, chooses everything that really mattered to her, including Matt. And you're absolutely right that Jennifer Garner did a brilliant job of portraying an innocent 13 year old in a 30 year old body!! That scene when she flirts with the little kid in the restaurant is priceless!! That could have been so creepy, but her innocence was so genuine that it's adorable instead of having a yuck factor!!

I think soulmates exist, but it’s hard to come by, I married my soulmate and I believe in a relationship when you communicate your calm, no nerves but you still blush and get goosebumps when they kiss you same with the wedding day if your calm as a cucumber you’re meant to be if you’re nervous and getting cold feet I’m sorry but it’s not meant to be maybe. 😅on our wedding day. Everyone was freaking out besides us why we’re not freaking out and being a bridezilla and worried groom. Even when it rained on our wedding day, and we had the wedding outside because of the pandemic. We were still calm as ever and happy to be in love and married. ❤😊 so yes, soulmates do exist.

This is indeed a classic! One of my top comfort movies. As you're about to turn 30, I also recommend you watch the movie Tick, tick, boom. It stars Andrew Garfield. It's amazing. I'm a 95 baby, so 30 is right around the corner for me. I plan to have a 13 going on 30 themed party. 30, flirty and thriving 🫶🏾
