Nice video, I'm thinking of taking this flight sometime next spring (mostly because of the price and convenience). I've heard that you can fill out immigration and customs documents in advance on Visit Japan Web, and then show a QR code at the airport. This might be something worth checking out if anyone's reading this comment.

Nice video! You were lucky to have the seats next to you empty so you could get comfy and have some proper rest. The plane also looks quite spacious. Your honest review of the food is much appreciated. I mean for that low price I guess it was acceptable. I have many questions because I'm also interested in visiting Japan and there's no one in my circle I could ask cause no one has been there. Could you please tell us what kind of documents are necessary for EU citizens to visit Japan for touristic purposes? Is a passport sufficient or do you need any additional documents? How many baggages were included in your ticket price? How many were you allowed to take on board? Did you have internet on the plane and if yes, how good was it? What kind of phone service can you use in Japan to stay in touch with family at home? I also heard that Japan mostly uses cash and they don't accept pay by debit card too often. Did you change currency at the exchange before starting your journey or did you do that when you got there? And where does one buy Japanese Yen? I know this was a lot of questions...I would greatly appreciate if you could help me out with some information. Thank you!

Hi! Yes, no problem I will try to answer all your questions. For EU citizens no esta or visa is necessary, You need a passport valid for 6 months. My ticket included only an 8 kg carry-on bag because the cheapest youth fares don't include checked-in luggage. There was Wifi available on the plane for the whole duration of the flight and it only cost 149sek (13€). Although it was not available during the whole flight, there were many blocked areas. Regarding the internet, I bought Airalo esim which costed me 5€ for 3GB internet, and it worked perfectly well in Tokyo. If you plan a whole Japan trip maybe Nomad esim worth it more. So if your phone support esims, I highly recommend buying one when you visit Japan. Yes, cash is very important in Japan, a lot of shops don't accept European credit cards, only Japanese ones. I did not exchange money, only took out cash from bank machine. The minimum amount you can take from bank machines is 10000yen, no lower amounts are avilable.

@@budapestspotter Japan doesn't have the 6 Months Passport Rule, you can visit Japan even with a Passport valid for 3 months.

"The great walk", I like that 😂😅. It is funny to me how a small country like Japan decided they will want to have a big airport. I thought having limited land space is such a big issue over there. 😊

I agree with the guy, the food looked dreadful. Very poor. I think I would bring my own sandwiches and some biscuits, like on a cheap bus trip. SAS is a shambles.
