All these amazing shortcut videos, can you please come up with a shortcut to turn on and turn off device location when i open a certain app.? For example- “when i open UBER, Turn on Location “.

Im the biggest fan. Love how organized you are and you are one of the main reasons i bought an iphone. But please Stephen, please do a vid for getting around that itunes to apple music conversion. Whats the easiest way to download music? In Samsung that was so easy, i can download it and itll go straight to Samsung music. Please man, do one for me and so much other people who suffer from this.

I can find a shortcut for playing a specific playlist, but I would love a shortcut that asks me each time which playlist I’d like to play. Then set the playback destination to different speakers and play automatically.

Re play custom sound. If I buy the app. Will it expose the “play sound” when I create a home automation in a shortcut? usually the sounds or for personal device triggers only. I’d like if a front door sensor detects motion - then get sound (from your app) and play it. Because there’s play sound in stock shortcuts app. But not if you use it like above.

As to Power Thesaurus, is there a limitation on the number of characters in a word? I tired this word: "Antidisestablishmentarianism" and it returned this message: 'The Quick Look action wasn't passed any items to preview'! What do you suggest?

Hello Stephen, thank you for sharing these shortcuts. Please help! I'm having a challenge that I've searched all over the internet and couldn't find something to help me. I'm trying to create a shortcut that announces on the HomePod every day reminding me to pick up the kids from school. I'm using the "Set Playback Destination" action to "HomePod" and then "Make Spoken Audio" followed by "Speak." The problem is the sound comes out on the iPhone, not the HomePod. What's more frustrating is that when I test the shortcut, sometimes the sound comes out on the iPhone and then on the HomePod. Any idea what might be wrong? I didn't want to go down the route of having to record a message, put it in the Apple Music library, and then activate it via automation in the Home app. Thx :)

Either you can set up a focus mode for it or you can just set up an automation like “at this time, turn on vibrate” or something.

Is there a way to "force close" an app with Shortcuts? When running a shortcut from Widgy, it opens Widgy app, Shortcuts app, then the action... But the issue is when swiping the home bar from left to right to change app, those 2 are showing first, really annoying!

Unfortunately not. You can program it to open a couple other apps at the end of the shortcut and then return home, so you have different recent apps in the switcher!
