a normal competition average has 5 solves. this was NOT a normal competition average
also please don't send hate to the scrambler, they were trying to help the comp run faster and i'm sure they didn't do this intentionally
also ig i probably hold the uwr for most attempts in an official average (could be wrong though)

A similar thing happened at Qualifornia 2017, where Jacob Posner received 11 attempts for his clock average. From my recollection, we used two full scorecards for him, and had to resort to using scrambles that no other competitor received. It was just about as bad as this, with solved clocks being given out as "scrambled", a bunch of repeated scrambles, and general incompetency from behind the scramble tables. At least the round didn't need to be redone!

Here in a recent AZ comp, we had constant issues with clock and my sister ended up doing about 10 solves 🤣 also you’re giving me Matty vibes

one time i had to do 2 groups of clock in 1 round. yes, i had so many extras i needed to go into group 2. my eyes hurt so much after :(

i dont think anyone will ever get 13+ solves in an average again like getting 8 solves in an average is such a low chance then them redoing the round after youve done 8 attempts is just crazy

thanks! my next clock comp is poway winter (2 rounds) in January so hopefully i can get it then also funny story at my first comp for 3x3 the top 20 competitors made it to 2nd round, daxton was 20th and i was 21st lol

im considering learning it bc with flip it feels like spamming tps which im decent at for other events but my turning accuracy is terrible, with 7simul i can probably turn safer and still get good times

Also at Oklahoma fall yesterday towards the end of the day they had to redo a whole squan final because it turns out the little kids that were scrambling misscrambled almost every solve. I didn't do squan but I feel bad for the sqaun solvers that already left and got there average dnfed

@@DomBrungardtCubing oof that sounds bad, at least at this comp they announced that we needed to redo the group right after it happened (also it was only the blue stage half of the group i was in so it only affected around 15 people)
