A word of caution with that first tip: bring more fishing buff items than you normally would. Even though the time of day stops, the buff timer keeps going as you reel in fish.

You can also brute force the gem birds puzzle if you don't want to bother. I recommend only attempting once you have 2 gem placements already solved, because it can take a LONG time if you have 3 or 4 empty spaces.

I was beaten to it, oops! Yeah trying to guess the whole things is going to be REALLY hard because there are possible birds that can appear.

The gems are based on which area of the island the birds are in. East, West, North and South. There's no guess work involved.

@@Going4Broke2528late but, there is guess work because which bird appears where is random. Normally you'd have to wait for all the gem birds to figure it out but you can just guess based on a couple gem birds.

There's 120 possibilities. Just finding one bird immediately cuts down the possibilities to 24, then two birds takes it down to 6. If you're in a rush just do it at one bird, it doesn't take too long.

Only thing tho is that you need to turn in artifacts to the museum; I think you need 60 before you get the sewer key as a reward

I'm trying to basically make a wine empire by using the entire ginger island farm to grow ancient fruit and then put it in kegs but it's taking a while. I am about halfway through filling the farm with ancient fruit and the more you have the easiest it is to get more seeds from them.

I'm about to have 3000k ancient seeds on regular farm and have ginger island filled already with a whole large shed of kegs and 2 houses with basements for stardust wine. Going for 20 million this year

Fun fact: tree stumps of naturally growing trees do actualy grow back so you can just leave the stump and after a couple of days there will be a tree there.

You don't even need to see all the gem birds. I found two of them and guessed the other two until i got it right. Scared the crap out of me when the explosion animation played and the golden walnuts dropped.

This is what I do. I am impatient and often just guess from my first one -just bring one of each relevant gem and be prepared to systematically trial & error.

@@ezlilyy Also remember that Ginger Island is actually just one part of the larger Fern Islands chain (even though it is apparently the largest island) They aren't very far from Stardew Valley itself (You can get there and back within a day by boat...) so it's not all that unreasonable to assume that at least some of the other islands are inhabited. Maybe the *active volcano* scared people off from living there, since it's not like it seems to have had an indigenous population like hawaii's big island did.

EZLILYy, those two rarecrows will not be at the night market if you do not already possess them. I lost my rarecrows from spreading rubish on my farm and they were not at the night fare. bringing in multiplayer will allow the second player to get them at the museum again instantly - problem solved

Useful tip on bird gems quest( that i did and i'm proud of) If you dont want to wait for rain or dont have the totem,i was only got one of the gem and the position,so i just place the rest of them with my own gem,there is 16 possible combination if you already fill one of them

The gem girds hack: get all the gems you need from geodes or whatever, however you farm your gems. Once you find one bird in the right place, just use trial and error with the other gems until you get it right. :)

Hi Lily, I've seen a few of your videos and some of them even helped me learn a bit more about the game. But, did you know, that during your character creation, if you spam click the randomize die fast enough, the various sounds it makes, sounds like a song?

I have been looking for clay method for so long since I kinda see a guy doing it but I never find out how to do it. There's only the footage of him doing it but he never explained it and even the later video that he release that he specifically name it "How to farm clay" He still don't explain it other than saying "Need to do this and this and this" (I didn't comment on how he specified ppl watching to do something. He literally say "this" as he explaining. Sound like the worst teacher to me) So thanks for explaining the method for me. And no, I didn't talk about the guy that in the link in description. It is other no name guy that I just stumble on his video.

i do gem birds just by going through all possible combinations. technicaly there is 5*4*3*2=120 combinations but i usually get it at 10-20 time, it's not that hard really. you just need to go through it systematically so you don't get confused. maybe it's a little cheating but much faster than looking for birds.

I'm boutta have everything done for year 1 in fall if I could get a nautilus shell, id have to get to skull cavern and get 10 iridium bars and go to ginger island and find all the walnuts then get the dangerous skull cavern or danger in deep quest cause they spawn on the under water levels

There are only five(I think) gems that are used for that puzzle, if you have two or three you can just try and guess what the others are, you do NOT actually need to have ever found the birds! Heck, if you have a LOT of time on your hands you can go throw ALL the combinations(it's going to be a LOT) and just guess the whole thing!

I tried the clay farming technique and it worked only for the 3 first spots of one "row". I started again with the new row and same: only the 3 first worked! Can someone explain why??

Scamming Pierre, while brilliant and the morally right thing to do, is hardly ever useful. For one, you need a ton of artisan goods to make it worth it, and for most of the game you want to sell stuff quickly so you can reinvest the profit. So in the end the scam is only useful when you're finishing up the money for the clock and the obelisks at which point it doesn't matter that much any more either.

Why do you have Spring foregeable in Fall forest?.. @6:05 Gem birds will continue to come back after puzzle is solved and continue giving you gems. So each time it rains on Ginger Island you will get a free gem. I love gem birds ♥ Placing your bed in certain place and doing certain number of steps will increase possibility of rain. I once had 2 weeks straight of rain on Ginger Island. I absolutely HATE it when Stardew players harm and humiliate NPCs with slingshot and other methods. If you think that it makes you cool - no it makes you rotten cruel and evil :( How would you like to be treated that way?.. Very bad. NPCs should be given an ability to kill the player.

Some are helpful but the game actually stops being fun if you start these cheats to make everything easy. 😅 I use this to kill time, have fun and not over analyze everything.
