It’s absolutely creepy when adults sexualize a mother (or father) kissing their own child on the lips. It’s not creepy to give your toddler a kiss on the lips. As a parent, you start kissing them on the lips from when they were a baby. Why would you change that just because they’re now 5? When your child asks you to stop, that’s when you stop. Sometimes I try to give my daughter a kiss on the cheek and, she forces me to kiss her on the lips. (She’s 5 lol)

Why does the internet have to be so pressed and judgmental to these moms? Let them live their lives.

My mom literally kissed me on the lips until I was 10. The only reason she stopped is bc a "friend" of mine back then bullied me about it and made me feel uncomfortable and ashamed that I loved my mother and wasn't afraid to show it. Bullies are such terrible people.

In South Africa no one gives a shit about none of these things. you ca literally breast feed your baby anywhere and no one will say anything. my cousin is also more or less as skinny as that kid but he eats a lot and my older sister as well but it disappeared with age. why are people going mad about the baby in the pool I mean like babies have swimming abilities.

On my friends 8th grade yearbook there was a page called “what do you want to be when you grow up?” She was actually the only girl in her grade and all the boys wrote there dream career. I’m 16 and I kiss my parents and grandparents on the lips it’s not gross it’s showing your affection and love and it’s innocent not in any way sexual. In fact it’s a way that a lot of people teach there kids to show love and in some places it’s just a way of saying hello.

The nastiest people and most critical and judgemental of mothers are usually other women. I didn't say other mothers because quite a few of these know-alls didn't even have kids, the just figured they know better than anyone else how you should raise your children. The second I announced my first pregnancy all of a sudden I was getting advice left, right and center and the moment my son was born it got worse. That I shouldn't comfort him when he cried as he needed to learn to self soothe (at a week old), That I should have lost my baby belly by now (3 weeks after giving birth), that I was losing baby weight too fast and bubs would suffer (I wasn't), I was breast feeding him too much, not feeding him enough, putting too many/too few layers on him, not swaddling him right, not feeding him the right foods, cuddling him too much, not cuddling him enough, letting him sleep too long/not long enough, that I should be bed sharing with him, that he should be always in a cot and the list goes on...and on! Every single one of those were women and more than half had never had a child.

I deleted my fb account because of how much mommy shaming there was! From formula feeding, to not co sleeping, using a stroller instead of baby wearing. It seemed like everything I did was “wrong” but my kids are happy and healthy and I realized the internet is such a toxic love!

Now I wonder, what would people say or react if they saw a girl or generic celeb child, not even 5 years old, swinging upside down on a swing set. Because that was something I did and was never really commented about to me or my mom, unless there was a nearby swing and wanted to show of a bit.

I personally think kissing your children on the mouth is weird in general (no matter if we´re talking about a mom or a dad) but it get´s even weirder when they reach a certain age. I personally only ever saw that on american television, here in Europe it´s not seen as appropriate. So if that´s normal in the US I wouldn´t shame Hillary Duff, but I still think it´s weird.
