The mother said he’s in prison and I take him to visit to keep a male influence in his life. Kid said his dad told him to take care of home and don’t listen to anybody but him. Yep real father and mother of the year. When this happens the family should lose all government assistance and it be given to the victims family.

His sentence will more than likely get reduced for turning himself in and possibly snitching a lot of other gangbangers out. On a different note, a gang probably raised him. People are so quick to ask where are the parents; however, rarely stop to think that the parents could be gang affiliated or relinquished their rights as parents and if that was the case, children don't always get placed in legit foster or group homes. Not saying that is this kid's story, but for the ones that are wards of the state (meaning all U.S. states) treat these minors like property and are abused way beyond the comprehension of many. I've known a few children that actually had decent foster parents. This child knew right from wrong and chose the latter. He more than likely won't make it out of the clink alive because inmates don't trust someone who turns themself in. My condolences go out to the family of the life that was taken.
