For everyone who's confused: They didn't spend 130K, they spent 2.5K. The nail polish is encrusted with diamonds, so it's worth 130K, but that's not the price of the mani/pedi.

Jxdejcxo Gold leaf actually isn't that expensive. I think it's about $15 for a couple of 4x4 sheets. She can totally do this at home, and it'll look much better. I'm pretty sure that the food cost more than the actual manicure. They paid for the service and the experience, not really for the mani-pedi itself.

As a cosmetologist who specializes in nail services I feel the need to point out that they got a cheap manicure with expensive add ons, champagne, gold flake nail art, having paraffin used for a mani/pedi is something cheap and actually used at my beauty college, where you can get a $5 manicure

Because it was a scam. The Polish was expensive because the bottle was, possibly, made of gold. The Polish actually had no gold properties in it.

There’s articles on it too. The nail polish is the exact same as their Gold Rush nail polish which retails for less than $10. That bottle is so expensive because the bottle has over 1,000 real diamonds encrusted in it not because there’s real gold in the polish. Then later you can see that both their nails were being painted at the same time and it wasn’t a glossy taco because Cristine later asks if they has a glossy taco. *illuminati music plays* I am confused 😂

You guys got scammed so badly! The $130,000 polish by ModelsOwn has a GOLD lid encrusted with real diamonds. This is the $7 polish with fake diamonds glued on. You can tell because the originals lid is golden and this one is silver.

The smallest price I ever payed for a manicure was in Vietnam, and I am telling you, this stuff was like CEMENTED to my fingers. I did a full on survival-mode rainforest tour (it was guided, never! do these on your own), waded through forest, mud, rivers, caves, full hands-on exposure to the elements - not a scratch. After I think about six weeks, they were still looking like on the first day, though the painted part was grown out, I bathed my fingers in the most acetone-forward nailpolish-remover i could find, like, handbath-style for hours to get rid of them.

I looked it up and the only reason the nail polish cost 130k is because of the bottle - literally, that's it! They basically paid a crap ton of money for $7 nail polish inside a 130k bottle (technically not even the bottle, just the lid is what makes is 130k)

The cost of the polish was almost entirely the cap (minus like 7 dollars) so as long as they keep the bottle and resell the diamonds on the cap they are really making a stealing literally.

Don't worry Cristine, I was cringing too. All the shit they were doing wrong and what was damaging. NEVER file natural nails in a back and forth sawing motion, it can separate the layers that make up the nail plate and never clip away cuticles, it is your body's natural defence against getting dirt and bacteria from entering the sensitive tissues of the nail bed. Also, that nail polish was a scam, the legit one has a gold cap with diamonds, this one had silver, this one was the $10ish one that came out at the same time, they contain the same polish (which does not have real gold in it, it's just gold shimmer pigment) and it's the diamond encrusted lid that makes it so pricy. Honestly I would save the 2k you paid and buy a swimming pool of Holo instead.

I went to the salon to get my nails done for the first time and yikes. They buffed my nails vigorously, filed in a back and forth motion it was a nightmare. Fast forward a week and a half and one of my nails split. Gonna try to fix it
