Acrylic pouring fluid art thinned paint experiments continue! Satin enamel tree ring pour!
Experiment time again! I pulled inspiration from from bonnie Keane, melyd, and elyse Fournier, Gina deluca. There are a ton of artist that I am sure are not on this list that use thin paints, these are just a few!
Colors used:white, paynes grey, silver, gold
White paint: semi gloss house paint, 25 percent satin enamel, water for consistency.
Pm: floetrol, gloss medium varnish 50/50, mixed 1 part paint to 2 parts PM with water for consistency.

Hope you enjoy the video! Thank you so much for watching. Happy painting!
I am so happy that I found acrylic pouring/fluid art a few years ago. It has helped me in so many ways and it just keeps getting better and better. This visual arts creative outlet has made me so happy. I am loving this abstract art! I hope to keep doing this for years to come! I have always been fascinated by modern and contemporary art. There is something about it that is so freeing and expressive. I love acrylic pouring because I get to experiment and really join the creative side of my brain with the scientific part! There are so many different fluid acrylic pouring techniques out there, so much more to try and have fun with. Make sure you are subscribed to my channel so that you may learn and be creative with me. I love hearing all of your comments. I’m definitely not an art critic; I can’t draw a stick man. But the first thing I see is a leg-a calf and a foot. I don’t mean to be silly but I see a cow’s nose or nostrils. It is like each time I watch, the paintings get more beautiful. You are so blessed. ♥️👏♥️👏

Love the center. Artists often torch in those littler cell intentionally. It would be great to talk conclusions after a time. For instance, Gloss Medium seems to work well for colander pour,s. GAC 800 (potentially) works better with Satin Enamel. I enjoy experimenting and learning from your experiments. Thank you 🙏🏼

This is beautiful. I love the Payne's gray mix with the gold to make the deep green hints. I like how the border came out. Not massively over taken by clouds, which are very pretty, but I like seeing the color underneath. I like that the border had more of those almost perfect cell formations. I would love to see you try starting with just a bit of color so then your nice white puffy goodness surrounds a mini color pool and also have more color come up in between the puffiness. You know what I am saying? But for this one, it looks perfect and I think you should gift it to me. 😁. I love it.

There's no oil but when you thin the paints out you allow for the density of the paint itself to work its magic with chemistry and physics and those cells and up popping through its really about the weight of the paint I'm definitely gonna do some more experimentings with this I think my gloss medium is actually interfering with the satin enamel properties

One big question i cannot understand is why pouring media (or glue plus water). Is it to reduce cost of paint? What is wrong if i use totally paint..... is it a consistency issue? Wouldn't using all paint make the painting more vibrant with pigments?
@MOLLYSARTISTRY
@MOLLYSARTISTRY 5 жыл бұрын
So I don't actually use glue in a lot of my pores pouring medium itself actual pouring medium like through a brand by liquid tax or golden is made so that you can thin the paints out with water or whatever else you're using so that they poorer more easily but they have a binder and them so that you can thin them out if you fin out acrylic paint more than 30% with water then the binders and the pigments break down so yes you can use just acrylic paint and water you just wanna make sure that your ratios are correct and the binders and pouring medium are really there so that you can then them out better without breaking anything down in the paint
@CJDe-kx8of
@CJDe-kx8of 5 жыл бұрын
师太灭绝 ... Hi. Yes, you could use undiluted acrylic paint, but it depends on the type of artwork you want to create. Acrylic paint is either 'heavy body' or 'soft body' (also referred to as 'fluid body'). Simply put: 'heavy body is a thicker paint mostly used with a brush or palette knife and come in tubes and jars; 'soft body is more fluid and come in [plastic] bottles. Using either one without any additive to dilute would not allow you to effectively do the many techniques of "flow" painting that is so popular. Using water and/or a pouring medium thins the paint; the amount used of either or a combination of both allows you to obtain a consistency that is appropriate for the type of artwork you want to create. Neither additive will dilute nor diminish the color or appearance of the paint. Cheaper beginner paints will be less color intense and vibrant than expensive professional rated paints. Additives stretch how far your paint will go and is therefore cost effective. Acrylic paints contain a 'binding agent'. When diluting/thinning with water the effectiveness of the 'binding agent is diluted/decreased. The paint will loose its ability to properly adhere and could crack while drying if using more than maximum 30% water to paint ratio, (paint applied too thickly will also develop cracks). Pouring Mediums not only allow the paint to flow more smoothly but, also, contain a 'binding agent'. When using water as a primary thinner, you need to add pouring medium to restore binding ability of the paint. Canvas' are usually purchased pre-primed with Acrylic Gesso. Gesso contains chemicals to ensure flexibility and long life, chalk, a binding medium and either white or black pigment. I always re-coat my canvas' with Gesso to get a smoother surface. Also, any color of acrylic paint can be added to Gesso to give a canvas an alternative background color. Just remember, Gesso must be thoroughly dry before beginning to create your masterpieces. Hope this helps to answer your question. Happy 🎨.

That's difficult to say through text. I show how it drips in the cup and I have a specific consistency tutorial in my videos. It is very runny thin. No trace in the cup
