Worked like a charm! The usb-hub behind the head unit in my peugeot 108 was turned with its face towards the front of the car (I noticed because I saw screws facing me, and the USB on the right-side of the usb-hub was positioned more towards the the top of the usb-hub instead of the bottom like in the video), so I had to unplug the bottom-left instead of top-left USB and redirect it! Please beware of this potential detail everyone :)!

Hi Tim , what do you do with the USB that was previously connected to the head unit? Just leave it unplugged?

That needs to be plugged back in, but without the hub in between

@@TimsElectronicsLab sorry I was not clear. So I mean the cable coming from the hub, that was previously connected to the head unit. That cable was disconnected from the head unit, before rerouting the cable coming from the USB port, which is plugged into the head unit directly now. My question is: what is done with the cable that you unplug from the head unit (the one that comes out of the hub)

You can leave that unplugged and dangling behind the head unit without any worries

That is a really good question. I don't think you have the USB socket in place, so you might need to retrofit everything

So i have same car with buttons in the steering wheel but I have a radio with Bluetooth and I can see that it is the same plate around the screen. Can I buy a screen with three buttons (CarPlay) and plug and play? I can send you picture of my radio from behind

Nope, if you originally have a navigation system, you'll need to disconnect the USB splitter behind the head unit

You definitely need to get another shroud for the radio if you'd going to give that a try. Do you have steering wheel buttons? If so, I think it should be possible

No, it will work, but if there is no USB connection in the car you'll want to create one using the original plug an wiring

Hey! That doesn't matter! When you buy the DAB version and you don't have a DAB antenna, DAB just doesn't work

Thanks for your comment! No Android Auto will not work wirelessly. If the OEM unit has the same part number as the old unit, it'll work otherwhise it won't

Yes it did. It will work if you don't have that, the navigation is handled by your phone

Zelf ben ik helemaal niet technisch, maar ik wil graag de Android Auto kunnen activeren, deze optie zit er namelijk wel in, maar ik krijg geen verbinding. Wat zou ik hieraan kunnen doen? Voordat ik zo een dure radio aanschaf.. Graag in jip-en-janneke taal beantwoorden, ben écht niet technisch aangelegd.. Thanks!

Hey! If you've got the two button unit, you won't be able to use Android Auto. You need to upgrade to the unit at the end of the video

Yes! Do you have navigation on the main unit? If so, there is an USB splitter behind the unit that you'll need to disconnect then Android Auto will work

Just connect it straight through. You'll need to remove the USB adapter if you have one, so if you don't have one, don't bother

It's not that the buttons are at fault, it's the older version of the hardware that doesn't support Android Auto or Apple CarPlay

That's great. My wife's car is a 2019 Peugeot 108 with integrated Navigation system. When you have the Navigation system, there is no Android Auto possible. I would love to find a solution for that issue as I think this is just a software question...

Is that the X-Nav navigation? If it is, you'll need to pull the USB hub from behind the navigation system

You need to unplug the splitter and plug the input of the splitter directly into your head unit

Guys I am confused please help. I have 2017 Aygo with touch screen but no x nav. No USB splitter behind unit either. So can I still (plug and play) the upgrade Android nav unit straight onto my wiring without having to fit any other wiring. Thank You
