Cecil’s voice is really weird in this. I have been flicking back and forth between this and previous episodes. Usually Cecil’s voice tends to dip down at the end of certain words and sentences. So you get that deep tone he sometimes exaggerates for effect. Here, every sentence has an up inflection, like an LA or Australian accent. He seems to have totally changed the way he talks. Bizarre

Curiouser and curiouser. Cecil’s voice returns to normal if you change playback speed to 0.75! Except it’s really obvious then that there’s some kind of distortion going on in the recording. It’s like the sound has been electronically ‘cleaned up’ post production.
