Exactly. I thought of doing a comparison with the ITOY at the end of this video, but decided it would be too vitriolic to do so. I think anyone who watched both videos can see for themselves. The amazing this is that when this Sideshow came out it was USD$180-200!! Absolutely astounding.

It definitely did Michael! I had planned to do this after a few days break, but I had to exorcise that traumatic event as quickly as possible and I figure this would do it. It worked! It's astounding to me how relatively cheap these statues were... this one had I got it when it first appeared on the Sideshow preorder would have been USD$180!! Can you believe that?

I'm sorry to hear that Maddy. This is relatively small compared to most statues I've seen. Certainly in the Sideshow Dinosauria line. Everything after this became massive! This one is about 51cm (20in) long, and fits on one of my smaller shelves.

Excellent mate! I hope this video has helped erase the memory of the ITOY Carnotaurus I just put up, if you saw that! This is really a treasure and as my favourite dinosaur, if I ever sell off my collection, this will probably be the last one to go!

Lol so you're one of the "serious collectors" I was referring to in the video! Yes the ITOY one was a horrible trainwreck. I'm not sure when you got into collecting Sideshows, but it's truly _astounding_ to me that when this Sideshow came up on preorder, it was USD$180! That is _unbelievable_ !

You're most welcome Rajitha! Carnotaurus is one of those dinosaurs I made an effort to learn a lot more about simply because it's my favourite dinosaur! The more I learnt the more interested I became and the more I liked it!😁

I'm glad to hear that! The level of detail on this is indeed insane. Just look at the nails, the facial integument, the arms! Very very amazing sculpt. The David Krentz one you got is in my opinion the better of the two T Rexes they made. It's also super rare. Despite it's anatomical flaws by today's standards, if I could choose one, that would be the one to get. The other one had an amazingly drab paint job, and I didn't like the form as much.

I own the latter Sideshow T. rex release as well. I agree, the Krentz sculpt is the better of the two. It has a sort of presence none of the other dino-sculpts from Sideshow possess, well, perhaps apart from the Carnotaurus. :-) The latter and larger T. rex goes together beautifully with their Triceratops. And I display them next to each other. Keep up your excellent reviews, and I look forward to many more in the near future!

Unfortunately I don't know the jpkingdom. But you really got it. And I find it ironic that I say you got it 'cheap' because isn't it funny we can say of a statue we're "lucky" to get it at "_only_ double the price"! But indeed that is a very good price, considering this was around $200 when new...$250 in today's prices. That is a price you can never ever get anywhere close to today!

Did you mean compared to the ITOY or the Sideshow repaint in Orange?
