Your maintenance is the best medicine!! Also try to get fish from a good store...quarantine the fish before adding to your main tank.. if you can't and you see parasites on your fish, API General cure works...for ich(white spot disease) rid all or ocean free white spot special works.. u can also add garlic extract to fish food to cure most of the diseases

4.Put a bag of JBL SilicatEx Rapid in your filter and the diatoms will recede and disappear completely after a short time. If the silicate test in your tap water shows a high silicate content, you really need to work permanently with a silicate remover in your filter 3.6 to 8hrs lighting no idea for those first two
