Dr. Pretorius in "From Beyond" is 1 of my favorite mad scientist and monsters at the same time. Plus I just love "From Beyond", Jeffrey Combs, Ken Foree and Barbara Crampton are other reasons i dig the movie as well.

If you're going to include video games you may as well include TV shows. For instance the TV series Primeval featured a 'fungus man' some years before the creation of the one you referenced. Another genetic mutant to include may be the fluke-man from X-files. I'm sure there are others as well from other TV series.

I was under the impression that splice's chick monster only turned into a male, after the father science guy slept with her. Cuz that's why when, the two weird monster things they put together ended up getting one killed after they mated. The original male had a female put in wth it. That's when the couple saw them connect and start to mate, with the original taking the DNA and changing. The day after, one was dead and the original was the female. Then, the guy slept with her and the dna mixed again wth the thing and it changed for it's final evolution. Then proceded to impregnate the only thing it knew, and that was part of it's life while also being the opposite sex. Part of a hive if you don't get what I mean.

Anyone else skip the cockroach hybrid entirely? lol
