Cool video. You never want to pull your first string straight into the clamp without a starting clamp backup. Thats too much force into the clamp teeth. Also wrapping a poly around the diablo is 50/50 on damaging the string. Thats best for multi's. Keep up the great vids!

Appreciate the comment however using the starting clamp is just back in case the string slips which in my case it never does. And wrapping the string around does 0 harm to any string, why is it there then?

@@prostringlondon Fair enough. The starting clamp is designed to start the racket. If you clamp the string so tight that it doesnt slip, its not great for the string. If you go loose, it strips the coating. Using a clamp + starting clamp is the best way to handle that direct stress on the first pull. After that its minimized by being 1-7 mains away :) Its not a "backup" but halving the stress

@@SolowSports fair enough. I personally feel with natural gut maybe suits that best and the rest is fine if you get your clamp just right. Never damaged any type of string nor has the client come back with any complaints…ever 😁

@@prostringlondon Certainly important for thin gauges, high tensions, both uncoated and coated strings, constant pull machines, and more. We believe its far more integral, but tomato/tomatoe :))) What is the next video you are working on? looking forward to more content
