Workshop titled "Horizon Europe in Central Asia: Promoting Research Excellence and Collaboration for Sustainable Energy" took place on 14 May 2024 at Nazarbayev University, Astana as part of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Conference ‘Localisation of SDGs across sectors in Central Asia’ 13-14 May, 2024. The Workshop was jointly organized by SDSN Kazakhstan, Chevron, Nazarbayev University, Sustainable Energy Connectivity Central Asia (SECCA) project of EU and Science Fund. The workshop highlighted how Horizon Europe and especially its Cluster 5 “Climate, Energy and Mobility” is relevant to participants in this region showcasing funding schemes, projects and initiatives that match the priorities of stakeholders from Central Asia. The event gathered national and international speakers who presented how Horizon Europe can support addressing challenges in areas like sustainable energy.
