Imaging is powerful. My son was about a 70% free throw shooter so I videotaped him shooting from an angle similar to the way it looked to him during a shot. I edited the tape to 25 consecutive made free throws. I had him watch that video at least once per day for nearly 4 months. The next year he was a 91% free throw shooter. Maybe I ought to video my drives and watch just excellent drives?

Something really important u mentioned is “hopefully you’re walking the golf course”. Too many people opt for the golf cart. There’s already too many things for an amateur golfer to worry about, we don’t need additional worries about where to park to cart, or trying to figure out which club we need from the cart path. Plus it’s just more enjoyable and relaxing to walk

My local course has a 80/20 cart to walk ratio. That said, some of the best players are walkers. I pay for a cart membership because I play with a group most of the time, and they all ride. If I go by myself and play early or late, I will walk with a Sunday bag and limited clubs or my push cart and full set. if I had a caddy, I would walk always.

I tested some of your theories yesterday on the front nine vs back nine. Front nine I played more ‘hero’ golf and went for some shots that were low percentage. Back nine, I played more conservative and laid up on both par 5’s to my 9I/PW distances. Results were a 44 on the front followed by a 37 on the back and missing a 15’ birdie on eighteen to shoot even par. Kept hearing your voice on the front saying, “that’s stupid. Do this instead” 😂

@@GolfSidekick totally agree like those who play a course for the first time, they shoot without realising what's there and maybe never lose a ball, then some realise the hazards and bang everything they've gone in! One hole in my local is a par 3,170 yards over a long pond and have to avoid high branches on 2 sides-intimidating if overthought but there's a millions balls in the water,I play with an 8 iron, not overly high and sometimes overshoot the green but par often there.
