I love City Stars, but I think they kind of missed their shot by disappearing and DGK took their place as the Hip-Hop/street focused board company. Just to add, City Stars actually disappeared in 2003, then came back in 2009 before quickly disappearing again. Also, as an obscure aside, in Kareem’s THPS3 vid it shows him signing copies of a City Stars album. I’ve never seen one for sale anywhere, hopefully one day someone tracks a copy down.

MENACE, City Stars, Kareem really rebranded them like 4 different times. What could've been.....

My first intro with City Stars was many years ago with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4. It featured Kareem Campell and even his rap group's song: Bad Dreams. Good grief, that was many years ago! I even, believe the game featured some video parts of Kareem skating. Kareem, Elissa and Andrew Reynolds were among my favorite skaters. 😊

I’m hoping City Stars makes a full fledged comeback, I downloaded Session recently and saw they had city stars decks in the game, all boards I never seen before. Was always a huge fan growing up and then became a bigger fan when I saw Justin Case, Ryan Denman and Mikey Taylor were all into Hondas at one point 🤣

I had the pleasure to meet Kareem and the Axion team last year at Pharmacy skateshop in L.A. Super nice guy, he made me sit with all of them on the signing table to take a picture and I had asked him if they were ever going to come up with city stars chains because I have been wanting one since I was a kid lol and he just said they were working on that, cool experience and thanks for all the great videos you put out, keep up the good work 👌👑🔥💎🛹🤜

That shot at Mikey: "where he teaches 14 year olds how to get rich" 🤣 I respect MT for seeing skateboarding is falling out of the limelight, realizing he needs an exit strategy for he and his family, getting into real estate, and making content talking about it and (sometimes) being educational. it's easy to throw shade, and that comment is actually funny because fck TikTok, but the guy really did come out of skateboarding and is succeeding. Skateboarding is dying, if not dead already (I grew up skating from '04 to now) and it really is sad, but good for Mikey for solidifying a good career.

Mastermind distribution started when they did there split with Rocco I used to sell tons of axions and citystars boards (Even sold the city star necklace $49 ) I got a extremely rare pair of axions that they advertised only riders had them got them I got mine from Devine they were a lawsuit model they made Odyssey backpacks even had a citystars music CD

lets face facts, turning them pro through an ad on a magazine without notifying was a slap in the face, they carried city stars and should've been showered with a board release party or something. Seems to me that the communication wasn't there and maybe they weren't being payed enough also. I get you have to stay loyal to the brands that help you, but everyone has to eat.
