There's just one Vans shoe I could save from the 90's. The Knu Skool. My all time favorite. Long live to "the brand with the waffle sole" Just like Jeff Grosso said: "What are you doing watching this? Go skate!"

Way back in 2003 to 2006 I got Rowley XLT 2 and 3, Rowley Classics and my favorites one's Jim Greco 2.

My first Vans shoe was the Shams, also a Rowley pro model. The influence of the half cab was also visible.

I had LOTS of vans over the years. But my favorite shoe to skate in were the Rowley Shams. I got them on sale but they were the best shoe. Rowley posted them on his insta back in July. I would love to skate them today.

Super first shoe was in 1996, that was the same on éS, etnies and Emerica. It was a beige loaf. XD My favorite Vans show is the 2000 Rowley and he is the best rider ever. XD Super show and i hope Levi doesnt hurt too many PPL with cutting. XD

Vans is my first skate shoes I could list when I was 90’s teenager. I bought my first pair of fake shoes from Xiu Shui Street in Beijing in 1996. My first real vans shoes I bought is old school from local vans booth in shopping mall.

Vans is really big here in Mexico. Almost every skater has a pair. Also vans seems like the only one actually investing here too. You can find vans easily specially newer models which is a pain in the a.. with other brands.

First skate shoes i had were the airwalk bucky lasek, then vans old skool tony alva, after that maybe i had hawk shoes and adios, i cant remember very well the time but i had 2 pairs of those rowley XLT, they were the perfect shoe and probably one of my favorites of all time. After around 2005, i stick to vans and pretty much is the only thing i wear now. Some people ask why, i love the sk8 hi and all, but when i was 17, vans started sponsoring events here in mexico and they took me to mexico city and another state for a contest, i was not in the team but we all were together at the time and they treated us very well, they didnt stop at the skate contest, they rented a baseball stadium and did a free concert with 2 legendary bands. After that, they started to put money in, made a mexico team, sponsoring skateparks, painting them, i dont think skateboarding would be were it is now without vans, at least here in mexico. In my state we went from having 2 skate parks, to having 20, and at this point almost every state has multiple skateparks, many of them full concrete. Yeah, i dont care if VF owns them now, because they are still investing in skateboarding, they just opened the house of vans in mexico city and they also sponsor skate lessons for kids. Where is nike and adidas? What are they doing for skateboarding? Vans forever my bros.

I barely remember Vans in the mid to late 90s. Their shoes were too hard to break in, they hurt your feet, and there was no padding in the sole. You’d have blisters from the poor fit itself. Ones I remember having were obviously the HalfCabs, the first Agah’s, I had every pair of Carroll’s!, those are my favorites. I had a few types of Rowley’s. I had the Old Skools low. And a few others. Actually my buddy in the later 90s managed a Van’s outlet so I got a lot of the Van’s pouffier/fatter 90’s shoes for free. I grew up skating the Santa Rosa skatepark with TNT and saw he went on to get his own shoe which was cool to see. Actually I’m kinda pissed at Vans, fucking scumbags don’t ship to Hawaii and they charge you shipping on each item if you try to order more than one thing online. They cancelled my order last month when I tried to order two sale shoes because I emailed them saying wtf is with charging me for shipping twice?! No explanation, just canceled my order. They’re fucking cheap skates and their customer service is fucking garbage for the billions they make. Plus I hate how they pander now to the woke bullshit. That was never skating, sorry. And all the dudes that made bank skating can try to pretend they’re rainbow woke after the fact, but I grew up in the thick of it and around the top guys, they were far from woke.

Well akshually, 12:25 Jeff Grosso couldn’t have just been added to the team since he died over two and a half years ago. Hell, the first Love Letters To Skateboarding was 11 years ago… Also, Cab wasn’t in the first THPS so he couldn’t have been in every game. It’s a shame since that was the one game in the series giving the showcased skateboarders six figure checks, and Koston screwed that up by saying “pls include me in the second game, I’ll do it for cheap!” That’s when Activision realized they could cut everyone else’s check too, a la Lance’s suggestion to Cab about his pro shoes.
