I found a 149 year old message on the family ranch. It was from my great, great grandfather. He bought the Texas ranch where I live today in 1882. I recently found a story written by him on March 22, 1882. "The Texas Stage Coach Robbery as told by ______ _____" (My G-G-Grandfather) Texas Architect Extraordinaire.

I'm thinking about doing this. Reading his story to YT. It's written exactly how they spoke on March 22, 1882. I'll see what I can do. My g-g-grandfathers pocket watch is in the Smithsonian in San Antonio TX. There is a bullet hole in the watch. He was shot in another stage coach robbery & the pocket watch saved his life!

FASCINATING! WONDROUS! The fact that your family went spelunking by candle light, not knowing what they would encounter. Wow. They also left their mark. He even found his way back out! Then add to that his son also trekked into the dark unknown. Dang. Then for it to even be found. Amazing. Then the researchers finding you on Ancestry, the sheer odds of all of that happening is astonishing. That had to be such an awe-inspiring moment to stand there. I love this kind of history. It makes it more meaningful when your actually connected to it. I understand why you couldn’t, however it would’ve been cool if you could’ve written your name on the stone. Full circle kind of thing. Thank you for taking us along with you on this adventure.

Even if this story would have been fiction it makes for a great story. And the way it goes the end is, well fill in the blank and make your own ending. But the fact that the whole thing is truth, OMG! All I can say is. You're one fortunate individual. And the FATHER has blessed you with the adventure of a century. And then to have a need for a man booster in your life at the time it comes along is the most epic! GOD has blessed you already exceedingly. And may he bless you even more! 😃

It also comes our at a Cemetery where his grandfather is buried. Looks like "0481" to me, not 1881. There is some evidence to suggest that our current timeline has had a thousand years added to it.

Great story...rediculous they couldn’t sign their names next to their ancestors, though.

Agreed, century’s from now there names will be as important as their grandfathers but our government apparently doesn’t think so.

@@jc_from_tx9229 Agreed! That ridiculous ribbon would have long since disappeared. Just their names, relationships and date would have been needed!

None of you understand the importance of leaving caves free from vandalism. What was done in the past can't be erased. But, you don't make the same mistakes again. It has been immortalized on video and that is better than leaving another signature in the cave.

@@xiongfa2152 Videos can be destroyed or lost in a myriad of ways. As we stated, just his name, date & relationship is all that would be necessary. Not vandalism at all. We all understand the concept of preserving the past, thanks for the Insult to our intelligence. Go preach your opinions to those that are tearing down statues!

@@theresagilmore7856 tearing down statues of mass murderers, rapists, people who fought to keep owning humans? Statues that are less than 70 years old. Those ones? Of leaders from a time in our history that is so shameful and repugnant people want to deny incidents and occurrences we have actual primary document information on? There is a difference between remembering history and glorifying atrocities.

We could b kin, My Williams line goes back to Rodger Williams, came over on the Mayflower, Created Providence Plantation, His land bought from an Indian Cheif, became Rode Island, He also established the 1st Baptist Church in the U.S. Some of my later descendants had land at Carthage Tenn. Would love to know if you also are a descendant of Rodger Williams.
