I went from a 4k oled 120hz 48” tv to a 2k oled 45” ultrawide 240hz and I have a 14900k cpu 4080 gpu and 32gb of ram cl16 Samsung dye obviously have Xmp enabled. I say all this because both monitors being oled with a fairly beefy system I will take 2k over 4k. My gameplay is much smoother than with the 2k. I don’t notice much difference between the 2 resolutions but I feel the extra frames and frame timing. I want the best picture BUT the trade off to me isn’t worth it. I can’t stress enough that 4k even without dlss is very demanding. Though Frame generation does help the frame pacing is less talked about and that really matters I’m talking about the 1% lows and what not. Just like everything tech related there is more than just image quality to consider for sure! Cheers hope this helps someone somewhere!

I went from a 65” 4k Sony regular LED, HDR, to the 45 LG Ultra gear, and I notice a massive difference in visual quality. It may have a lot to do with the stretch of the screen, but games like Red Dead for example look like garbage. A blurry mess. Even going from LED to OLED. That’s not the only game either. I’m returning the monitor, and just going to get a C3 48. The curved 45 is cool, but I can’t justify the change in picture quality. I’m on the PS5 and Series X

It all comes down to getting the 4090. The performance gap is huge between the two. Thats meant for the 4k experience

@@834073 This is correct but I just can't justify the 4090 price tag would be cool though... maybe the 5000 gen i'll get the 5090 or w/e they come out with their top of the line. Considering I have to downclock my i9 in order to play UE5 games I think I'll be good to go :) unless the new PCIE standard is needed then a mobo upgrade might be needed but we shall see!

I tend to like the clarity of 4k. Even in medium settings for gaming, it looks sharp. I switch to 2k for high refresh gaming.

Believe it or not "2K" is actually only 1080P (1920x1080) because it has just about 2,000 pixels running the length of that aspect ratio. People often mistakenly say 2K when they're talking about QHD or 1440P.

I did upscaling mutiple times on pc games and on EMU, it was always the same a medium jump Even on vids shows it's not a big jump and pics show this too I watched vids on my 4k TV the jump isn't big like I said it's med People even on forums say the jump isn't that big in games,pc or console Text is where it shows a big difference from 1440 to 4k, I have did mutiple 1440 and 4k resolutions switches over the years it always was a med jump in games like I said, u either can't see to good or lying like I said, or not sitting close enough

@@pppx3262 your monitor can’t perform on 4k. Even though it shows 4k,the monitor’s maximum resolution is 2k(1440p). Therefore even if it shows 4k,it’s pointless because you can’t see it anyway.

4k hurts my eyes up close for gaming on a monitor so 2k seems to be more of a sweet spot for me and still producing enough clarity to enjoy gaming. 4k better for movies on my TV.

Бери 4 к если есть топ видео карта минимум 240 герц В остальном любой 144 герц лишь определись с диагональю 27 -32 считаю идеальными так что решай сам но изучай минимум все мониторы рынка а не покупай любой первый попавшийся

@@mobarakjama5570 Natively, sure, but if you turn on DLSS then there's hardly a difference. I only know this because I play in 1440p on my Neo G8 for online MP games. I only use my 4k settings for SP games. Also, I wouldn't recommend turning down the settings in Windows but in the game itself. Give a try with DLSS and image quality should improve.

It depends on your playstyle or whether you prefer playing on a console or PC. For the console, we would suggest you get your preferred 4k TV, and for the PC, get that 2k monitor.

BY Story gaming, I assume you mean single player games, so if those are all you play, get 4K, given you have a strong enough system to run 4K.

For now i have one 24inch monitor at 1080p 240hz, and one 24inch 1440p 165hz😄 BUT my dream choice would be 1440p at 24inch 360hz+ oled! Or 240hz 27inch 4k monitor, granted i got a pc that can run higher fps at 4k (mainly in competitive fps games) 😁😅🙃 Alternatively a 24inch 1080p 360/480/500hz ips/oled or 27inch 1440p 240/360/480hz OLED 😆😅🙃But i am not much fan of 27+ inch monitors!

@@KarlynGR i said mutiple vids and on forums shows its not so stop trolling, i said for a fact its been since like 8 years it showed a big difference look up the vids now I just played resident evil 3/2 remakes last week it even shows a small window to show differences/i got stalker pripyat no big difference/assassin's creed 3 no big difference, I can make a video and prove these games so stop what are you trolling for, when its been known for years They just made new forums talking on this 7 and 5 months ago on red saying the same thing I just last night saw the doom eternal comparing all qualities and it maxes at nightmare and no that doesn't show a big difference from high U can even look up mordor the 1st one and that came out 9 years ago and even then that game doesn't show a big difference people even in comments mutiple say it,that wasn't the only game not showing a big difference in that year

@@KAAS_KROKET RDR2 is a very demanding game I even played it 1080 60fps back then (I dont have a beefy gpu). I think its very hard to reach high fps with RDR2 so high resolution is ideal for RDR2. I just have bias on higher fps because ever since I experienced 144hz monitors, 60 FPS seems like 30 fps to me now.

If you're limited to the same budget, for sure. 60fps nowadays just doesn't feel good to play on, especially if you've used 144hz in the past, the higher refresh really helps for fps games. If you're only going to play RTS or story driven games, 4k might actually be the better option. But 4k has become a lot more affordable in recent times since the new oled 32" monitors are right around the corner, so some VA/IPS and the older samsung odyssey screens are selling for some pretty huge discounts currently. I picked up 2 M32U's (32" 4k 144hz IPS) and plan on getting the new asus 4k 32" 240hz as my new primary monitor whenever that releases around jan/feb. The real question is if your GPA can handle 4k, anything older than the 7900xtx/40-series and I wouldn't bother because 4k native without DLSS/radeon FX probably won't be even close to enjoyable for a lot of games, at least not in newer AAA titles or stuff like starfield, red dead, gta, etc. 7900xtx is probably the most budget 4k100+fps cards, 4080 is kinda close but 4090 for sure is a better 144hz+ without dlss necessary. I'll probably be getting the new nvidia GPUs in 2025 for the real 4k 240hz+ experience, but monitors are barely getting to that point now anyway and the new asus oled doesnt even have dp 2.1, the 4090 didn't either which was baffling considering the 7900xtx at least did... oh well, still excited to see what the future holds considering how fast computers have progressed in just the last decade.
