Roger, nice video series, I have in the past tried copper but it gunked up the engraving. is that a V bit or ball nose, what is your step over set at. thanks steve

Nice.Is there a way to make the face the opposite of what you did?That is,to make the relief features(letters,beard,etc.)raised(ie,change all the +moves to -moves I guess you'd say)?

Hi Roger! Love your video's! Also a question; how did you mount the disc on the wood? What kind of glue is it and how you get it off? I want to cnc a relief out of a silverplate 2mm thick, like 30x40mm, but i found out that carpettape and wd40 is not a good combination :P Do you have any advise for me how to attach it? I have a 6090 very simulair to your machine. Kind regards from The Netherlands and keep making video's!

in the video you mentioned that the step-over is 0.005mm. but then the entry went back to 0.01 mm. Maybe you pressed escape key by mistake. I am not sure which value you ended up using.

Sir I saw your video , I seen 8000 rpm looking Mac3 controller but we want high rpm for best results , otherwise tool will be broken or bad effect engraving, so tell me why you didn't use high rpm in spindle motor, because your tool size 0.005 mm and 10 degree conical tool.

Mach3 was not controlling or connected to the spindle I was controlling it directly from the VFD @ 24,000 RPM Pacific Tooling; Australian Inventor Roger Clyde Webb

What roll of controller , if Mac3 didn't control spindle speed , does Mac3 role only convert g code format file of design.

And your spindle is moving same speed 24000 rpm. If we put in artcam 15000 or 60000 rpm , it will be round 24000 rpm

But why would you do all that? You could just engrave it. It would be like 10 times faster, and looking same. If you wanted his head and letters to stay above than this technique would be acceptable. This way you re losing time and time is money.
