Totally agree...Earthshine is 🔥...watched from Bones to Red Sector A today...standouts for me were The Big Money, Bravado, Dreamline, Between Sun and Moon....Vital Signs was way out of sorts at the beginning and Ceiling Unlimited seemed off tempo...just a hard song to reproduce live...Geds ' the time is now again' is a bit different than the album... Nonetheless as I said 2 months ago when I 1st came across this the vocals were incredible and yes the sound and video amazing as well for 20 years old...

@@markandersen5187 Haha yea I heard Vital Signs and had to restart it a couple times because I couldn't figure out if they were just messing around and re-arranging the intro or they accidentally got out of sync, if it was the latter they made a good recovery because most bands would trainwreck at that point. And I agree about the sound, I haven't looked in to this video's history much yet but I can't imagine that it's not synced with audio recorded close to the stage, it's so amazingly clear with a wide stereo field and it has no right sounding that good in the nosebleeds... My dad bought his first digital DV sony video cam around 2001 and I can't imagine it being able to produce footage this clean (despite it being an amazing camera even now with the optical zoom still destroying even the latest and greatest smart-phone zooms), this must have been one of the best cameras you could get at the time coupled with one of the most dedicated fans willing to professionally shoot the entire show by hand which is a feat in itself, bravo to whoever captured this.

@@StickHitsVital Signs was a moderate train wreck with a good recovery.

Paid an insider, (usher?), hid in an airduct, brought the camera & mini-tripod and shot it with minimal camera-shake. A guy in Toronto did the same for the Presto Tour & shot both shows.@@StickHits

if i remember the story correctly this is the first gen tape and the original holder just didn’t wanna share it for the longest time, or lost it. it surfaced very recently

@@14Maxmom Awesome, I downloaded it raw yesterday, it's gotta be the best video quality 've seen pre 2010's! Not to mention how clear the audio is. It's been a big month for VT era... Just found out there is video of the opening night

@@14Maxmom Audience shot, seems to be an early digital DV cam judging by the zoom, which makes it easy to matrix more audio over it (Audio is actually really good just inconsistent)

@@14Maxmom BTW Max, i'm not sure what program you used to convert the footage, but having just tested a couple tracks with Handbrake and getting it to de-interlace to double the original framerate, it looks like your version got stuck at 30fps - If you want to get the doubled rate, make sure you have the latest version of handbrake, import the DVD, go to the filters tab and under de-interlace select "decomb", then underneath select "bob edif" or whatever it's called, I don't remember how the second word there was spelled as i'm on my phone lol. Then make sure the framerate option is set to 59.57 with "Peak" box checkmarked, that should give you what you are looking for, though you at least properly de-interlaced it which is the most important thing. Also I found if you don't manually set the audio tab to "auto passthrough" it will re-encode the audio and you will lose some quality as the original audio is already a low bitrate so very easy to degrade the audio on this one if it's re-compressed even once before KZfaq.
