VN24 - Hamm - The salvage work after the serious truck accident on the A2 motorway near Hamm lasted into the morning hours. In the late afternoon, a 65 year old tanker truck driver had rammed into a punctured truck near Hamm, which had broken down on the hard shoulder with a puncture. As a result, the tanker truck ran into the ditch, collapsed and overturned. The driver died of his injuries at the scene of the accident. A mining contractor had to request a crane to place the trailer, which was loaded with grease, on its wheels.

It is highly rare for an HGV to turn upside down normally by right they are only supposed to fall on their side & no further why it went further is an unsolved mystery.

Why in Europe do all trucks use cabover design? Not much protection for a front impact.

I dont want to Drive anything else than a Cab over. I Like it compact. The View is so much better than with s fucking Long nose. It AS more benfits than a Long nose. For the amount of Cargo we move and Trucks on our roads we hardly have accidents.

Interessant, dass in all den Stunden, wo das Zugfahrzeug bereits "wieder gerade" da stand keiner auf die Idee kam mal mit einem Besen grob den Erdhaufen zu entfernen. So fällt doch beim Abtransport alles links und rechts runter und der nächste Unfall wegen Erdhaufen auf der Autobahn ist vorprogrammiert...
