I'm just starting my journey learning this beautiful language. It's amazing how hard it is to find Luxembourgish learning material. It's so nice to read comments here of descendants of Luxembourgish immigrants and how they want to learn. Don't let the language disappear. Keep the language alive and strong! :) This is GOLD! My cousins and uncle were Luxembourgish and they sometimes mix their english with this language so it's kinda hard to understand at times. It's time for me to learn their language. It looks fun and i kinda know some of it

I had never heard Luxembourgish. It feels like some sort of cross between French and maybe someting like German. I know I'm part Luxembourgish, but still learning about my ancestors, such as Jacquetta of Luxembourg, my 18th ggm. I'm reading about her right now in the book Royal Witches. It's exciting to be able to read so much about one person's life that passed me down some DNA. It does seem pretty easy to pronounce the words, but I've always been good at that. I have at least 38 ethnicities in my readable DNA from all over most of Europe, many places in Asia, some in Africa and I'm also Native American from over 12,500 yrs. ago. You are apparently my cousin, btw.

I speak some German but this is enough not like it that I have a lot to learn. Thanks Anne, great videos

it is very similar to German but only different in spelling ... it was a great help if one can speak German and it is easy to understand and learn Luxembourgish

Ich komme aus Siegen und es ähnelt sehr unseren Dialekt. Da Siegen auch ein Teil von Nassau Oranje war, hat sich die Sprache vermischt.
