In addition: Lambertville: 1) is also right across the bridge from New Hope PA which has a lot of boutique shops, stores dedicated to Christmas, dining, etc. 2) Just down the road in New Hope, there is a great flea market like area called Peddler's Village. 3) L' Ville is also right down the road from Historic Washington's Crossing and Park. 4) there is also winery in nearby Newtown. --- I have a college friend who has lived in L'ville a long time and I've visited these places. Fun!

My stomping grounds. I live a few miles down the road near the Delaware River in Yardley Pa., Bucks County. Upper Bucks is really beautiful.

New Hope PA has went down in quality recently. All the good shops closed up and nothing left there but Dunkin Donuts and crappy stores.

@@bigmacdaddy1234 Yeah. In my view New Hope has always been too shi- shi. Some stores were ok, but most were selling crappy little expensive….crap. It is a very historic town though, and has a few good restaurants. Too crowded on weekends, especially summer.

Did you not travel through Salem or Cumberland Counties? We have a few quaint actual SMALL towns that always seem to be forgotten. Heck, Pilesgrove itself has the Oldest Continuous Rodeo in America every Saturday from Memorial Day Weekend through the End of September.

Being fourth generation Madison and having lived my entire life here, I thank you for listing us as number 1. Couldn't agree more. I would have showcased the Hartley Dodge Memorial a bit more. It is our Borough Hall and a magnificent historical structure. It's even been a location shoot for a couple of films.

This guy likes the same little towns I like and know: Clinton, Madison, Chattam, Westfield, Glen Ridge, Montclair, Morristown, Summit, and Princeton; I've visited and worked many times in those towns, and are indeed charming little places. If I had to pick the three or four best, they would be Princton, Chattam, Madison, and Morristown---where they have a great Jewish Deli there...

The Watchung Reservation is NOT in Montclair, not even in Essex County. It is a Union County park, which takes up parts of four Union County towns, Summit, Mountainside, Scotch Plains and Berkeley Heights.

I lived in this town about 30 miles east of the Delaware Water Gap called Budd Lake. It was a pretty small town I was in as a young kid from 1980 to 83. Northwest Jersey is a beautiful place

Thanks for this touring info. list. I had a chance to live in Chatham for a few months in 1975 and enjoyed visiting other nearby parts of Morristown and Livingston. I still like NJ to present day even after I survived a hear attack incident on 1st visit to Jersey City in Summer of 2014. 🕊️✌️👵

Regarding Ocean Grove - When you talked about quaint shops and restaurants, you showed "Frank's Deli" which is actually located on the north side of Asbury Park.

Egg Harbor City a nice small town, Oxford, Washington in Northwestern New Jersey are also nice small towns that left out. Woodstown like Egg Harbor City is a nice Southern New Jersey small town which is the home of Richmans ice cream, my late parents used to stop there to buy ice cream when returning to Newark,DE.

Lambertville is indeed a great small town to visit, but you'll be disappointed if you're hoping to eat at the Boat House (it's a bar) or purchase anything from the Delicious Heights Bakery (where even is that?). I guess this is an AI-generated video.

I’m from Manahawkin which is right over the bridge from Long Beach Island. I always thought my town was nice. I went to Montclair State and it’s a very beautiful place. My husband grew up in Tuckerton another small town. Smithville is also nice to visit.

You forgot to mention when referring to a Montclair, the Montclair State University, which is a replica of a European town. It’s absolutely beautiful. My daughter is a junior there right now and very easy access to New York City a train right on campus that goes into the city.

I grew up in Chatham and now live in Madison but having also lived in central Jersey, Matawan, and south Jersey, Tuckerton - the one thing that's amazing is the diversity and the many, many wonderful small town's in the state. I encourage folks to explore the State. From the Delaware Bay, NJ Shore, Pine Barrens, Farmlands to High Point State Park through all the 21 Counties and ~600 towns that dot New Jersey.

Paterson Falls in Paterson, NJ. It is the 2nd largest Waterfalls next to Niagra. Beautiful and nice to visit. It has nice art places, electric wheel museum and restaurants around it. I was pleasantly surprised!

Montclair isn't so great. You have to be careful there. It does have good restaurants & it is becoming an artsy NYC suburb bc you can take a direct train into Manhattan so a lot of NYer's are moving there. I personally would avoid Montclair except there is a pretty good theater called the Welmont Theater. Yes, there is a museum there but how often do you go to a museum. The only other attractive attraction are the iris gardens which bloom every year.

Not sure these are the towns I would have chosen. Many of them, yes. But there's a lot missing from this list. Glen Ridge isn't that exciting. I would have replaced it with Ridgewood. I would have added Edgewater or Weehawken and Milburn. Although maybe those aren't considered "small towns". But neither are some on this list. Probably would have also added a few more shore points. Paramus is the shopping mall capital of the country.

Frenchtown is a real delight. Lots of artistic independent shops & restaurants. A very small, intimate Victorian hamlet right on the Delaware River.

I have to agree with your list. They're all beautiful towns. I was born in Haddonfield in the center townhouse with the porch next to the Indian King Tavern and now live in Ocean Grove. Both of them are great towns. Missed Moorestown, which had been listed as the best town to live in, in the US a number of years ago.

You forgot to add Stirling, Millington, Gillette, Myersville and Hoestead park. These are in Morris County. Population around 8000. Towns will remind you of Andy Griffith's Mayberry. Also historic buildings and parks.

Quite a few mistakes on the video, i.e., Essex county environment center is in Roseland, NJ not in Glen Ridge. Watchung reservation is in mountainside, NJ not in Montclair, etc. Strongly suggest to review / edit before broadcast!

You missed some of the nicest towns, i.e., Hammonton in Atlantic County and Medford in Burlington County. They are historic towns with tree lined streets, many homes old homes and two of the best towns to live in in New Jersey. Both towns are surrounded by farmland.

KZfaq wouldn't let me edit. Hammonton is in Atlantic County. Both towns are surrounded by farms growing tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, peaches and grapes. There are wineries in the area also. There are lots of out of the way "secret" places to visit. Horse farms/ranches can also be found.

So I guess they forgot to mention great towns in South Jersey like Collingswood, Haddon Heights, Medford....not only charming but happening as well with many events held throughout the year.

Those aren't South Jersey. They're all north of the Mason-Dixon Line (Glassboro).

Yeah...REAL south Jersey, below the Mason Dixon Line. Only Cape May fit that description. I know several, but not looking for tourism. I don't want more cars on our road!

No way the Borough of Metuchen is not on the list. just won 2023 The Great American Main Street in the whole USA. Located in the Middle of Edison Township (like the yolk of an egg) Nicknamed "The Brainy Boro" , you will find the Cathedral of the Diocese of Metuchen, Metuchen Golf Club, St. Joseph High School & Metuchen High School, The Old Franklin Schoolhouse, Train Station to Manhattan in the middle of Downtown area, LOTS of Restaurants, French, Chinese, Greek, Latin, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, Pakistan, Thai, Portuguese plus the famous Metuchen Inn etc etc oh before I forget, its where the famous Magician David Copperfield lived & grew up till his high School years.

This is a nice video about New Jersey, but when are these You Tube narrators going learn how to pronounce words correctly. I can understand mispronouncing town names, especially if they are not from the area. But to mispronounce famous names as Monet and Matisse as one name when they are two different people. By the way it’s Claude “Mon-ay” and Henri “Ma-tees.” 🤦🏻♀️
