When it comes to large buildings, few structures are quite as grand and impressive as churches. After all, their stained glass windows, marble finishings, and beautiful artwork make them a sight to behold, and to this day there are millions of parishioners that visit them regularly. However, while most churches operate on a small scale, there are a few churches that provide services to thousands of people per week, with some even having more seats than many professional sports stadiums! So today, grab your hymn books and prepare to be amazed as we count down the Top 15 Biggest Megachurches in the World!

@@MeesterJ That’s very true. Chartres lies in a plain with no buildings or geographic landmarks. On the opposite side of the spectrum, Strasbourg’s cathedral is surrounded by narrow streets with 4-5-6 storey high houses so this incredibly impressive structure is only visible as you literally stumble upon its forecourt. The Mother of God orders us to build a new HQ and even threatened Rome to be destroyed if it continues to not preserve dogma i.e. (Christ is still God in the Rosary) Anti-Pope benedict's heinous crime scene is the Novus Order masonic temple above passed off as the church of the Holy Trinity or a massive offence to the real Trinity.

At 12:52. OMG, a modern church interior that I actually like! I was dreading seeing the interior from the plain exterior. But, wow, am I pleasantly surprised! It doesn't look like an overglorified office building cafeteria. It doesn't look like a church was put in a parking lot with some white walls. This is a wonderfully beautiful interior. It's riotously colorful, but also graceful. It uses the enormous space to full effect, with those huge mosaics under the dome shimmering so brightly. The mosaics themselves are also so delicate-looking, and proportional. Love that there is this electric blue tinge underlying most of the mosaics and the space itself. Truly a sight to see! I would love to visit now! Reminds me of the breathtaking modern interior of the Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona.

Yes, Liverpool Anglican Cathedral is more than just "worth a visit." But then I am a native of the fair city-hopefully not biased by this. Also, about 1000 yards away along Hope Street is the more modern ["circular"] Roman Catholic Cathedral-not to be overlooked by visitors.

@@carharrttrbx2530 You are referring to St Luke's church some 1000 yards from each cathedral. It is a monument to the city surviving the WW2 Blitz by the Luftwaffe. Well worth a visit : it has a website which is most informative. Thankfully time has mitigated the terrible memory of such attacks on our city-and the likes of Jurgen Klopp [LFC manager] have more than just helped the healing process.

The basilica of Yamoussoukro is an amazing building you get to visit. It has big Versailles style gardens, and you’ll get the possibility to see the whole town while you’re at the top of it. There also is an immense hospital adjacent to it so in case you get any kind of trouble while being there, you’ll find the best possible medical treatment you need. There is also a very beautiful cathedral in Abidjan called Saint Paul. Dude, you get to visit it as well!!! We Ivorians are very proud to have these kind of church in our country, our land. So the comments of the author(s) of this video are only his (theirs) and only depict his (their) point of view.

As far as I know, the tower of the Ulm Münster is the highest of any churches. Probably that'a why it is listed. But this shortlist is a bit weird anyway. That one church on SA looks like a train station. What about Cologne Dome, the largest north of the Alps. Or the Dome of Speyer, the largest church in Romanesque style in the world?

Aya Sofya isn't important for its size and decoration, but its architecture. It's the first building with a dome in history, and a model for practically every church and mosque since then. It's really underestimated even by Greeks for the sake of the Parthenon, which is actually not so hard to build.
