Kind of funny how fragrance pulls you in. When I first got into fragrance, I was all about clones and cheapies. I mean if I could smell like creed for a fraction of the price, it was just a no brainer starting out. In my mind, spending that kind of money on something that was purely a luxury item was just unfathomable. Then I kind of found myself gravitating towards designers and away from the clones and cheapies. Not fully. I’d still pick up a clone or cheapie if there was a lot of community hype. But as a whole, I was heading more towards affordable designers. My purchases became more about quality over quantity. At first, it was cheaper designers on discounters. Paco Rabanne, Versace, etc. Then I started ordering even less frequently and going for higher end designers. (Dior, Chanel, Armani) But soon those weren’t quite scratching the itch in the same way either. It wasn’t long after that that I finally decided that it was time to dive headfirst into niche. I’ve always been smart about it though. I never blind buy anymore. I always sample decants before making any kind of purchase. I would also say that my rate of purchase has dropped to a quarterly expense(compared to weekly 😅) And while 85% of what I wear on a regular basis are still designer fragrances, I have finally come to appreciate what the niche experience is all about.

H24 EDP is awesome. I have all the Bleu de Chanel. Deoderant, shaving cream, aftershave, EDT, EDP and Parfum. I'll choose H24 EDP in the warmer weather since I picked it up. Unique and classy.

Due to financial struggles and high prices of fragnances in my country retail (Zimbabwe), i gravitate towards bvglari and coach fragnances. Sometimes i get into david beckham colognes, they are affordable but still go above 50 usd for 50 ml. Its hard being a collector but my most expensive fragnance i have is stronger with you by emporio armani. Too bad i dont use if much because its a winter or cold weather fragnance, of which this side we mostly exposed to hot weather. I love the elixir sauvage but need convincing that its a versatile fragnance

I am in Argentina and frags are very expensive here as well. I have sauvage elixir and i think it's versatile enough (not for humid high heat), but you should sample it or buy a decant because it's very spicy and it can be too much for some people.

ARTISAN PURE by John Varvatos Is also an excellent choice even though it’s harder to find now. I love that you put Guy Laroche Drakken Noir on your shelf as it’s still a great cologne!!!👍👍👍

Definitely a banger I love. I always bring up JV Artisan Pure too. It’s not hard to find either. Fragrancebuy always has a healthy supply of 125ml bottles. Tester or full presentation are both available. The tester runs about 29-32$ while the full pres runs about 33-35$.

My mom bought a bottle of AP 2 days after I showed it to her because I wanted it (Im male). She was so surprised by it. I like the original a lot too though. It gets overshadowed a lot and is a bit more masculine.

Dior Homme 2020 to me has some aquatics, it's just an Ok fragrance for me, not even a Like. I smell in it some resemblance to Blue de Chanel. Was surprised to see I'm not the only one who thinks that. Currently there are more than 300 submissions for that association in Fragrantica, even if also more than 600 submissions reporting the contrary. Designer's I'd recommend as year round options, so "Only fragrance" candidates: Montblanc Explorer Prada L'Homme Terre de Hermes EDT Terre de Hermes Parfum Bleu de Chanel EDP Dior Sauvage EDT (yes I would recommend it :) Issey Miyake L'Eau Bleue de Issey Guerlain Vetiver

@@lucasburke8074 Depends :) They are similar. Whoever likes vetiver would love both. The parfum projects slightly less for me, but is a tad more balanced and mature, serene. The EDT is fresher and a tad bit louder, still very classy though. Some find the EDT's bitter orange opening too aggresive, I don't. But because of that the parfum might be a tad more wearable in general. It is more expensive though.

I may sound like a broken record but Givenchy Gentleman EDP Boisee. Just up or down the sprays depending on the season. In winter/late fall/early spring spray heavy. In summer, early fall/late spring spray a bit less. Works in every situation. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Let's specify Kenzo Homme EDP 2022 as there is an earlier, different release with the same name. And Ash didn't mention anything about it but it is a dominant leather scent with freshness making it very intriguing and unique for designers

Where’s Dolce & Gabbana? I would choose pour Homme from their line, a wonderful fougere scent. And also missed Armani! I would go with AdG Profondo, awesome aquatic scent 🌊 👍

Kenzo Homme EDP 2022 is great. One of my favorite recent pickups. I'm on the H24 EDP hype train myself. I think it's awesome

I went to a yard sale and bought some kid’s cologne collection for $50. Everything was 1/2 bottles or more 50% of them were 90% full. Now I have 10 Versache s and Burberry’s and Paco Robain’s yadayada Lacoste. One of my favorites is Lalique Encre Noir and I like the designers but also like cheap stuff like Cremo black vanilla spice and target #2 & 6

I'd add . Miyake Wood & Wood, similar to Dior Homme 2020 . Cartier Pasha edt, which I recently tried and liked a lot, it's fresh, spicy, clean . Davidoff Cool Water parfum

Perry Ellis America is closer to Nishane Hacivat than Aventus in my opinion, with less performance than either. Very solid fragrance and I'm glad to see it get some attention again. For under thirty dollars after tax and shipped at some places, it's blind buy worthy all day.

I bought perry Ellis America like 15 yrs ago at tjmaxx for $10. Terrible stuff, very cheap like after shave. If this is what hacivat smells like that's pathetic. I'll stick to my cdnim thanks

Burberry Hero is really nice, it might not be some groundbreaking fragrance, but I simply love the way it smells and it's not too loud.. I also think OG Prada Luna Rosa is perfect for year-round, its clean and minty freshness contrasts well in the winter..

Gucci Guilty Elixir De Parfum is incredible. Of all the Elixirs, it might be my favourite. Sauvage Elixir is fantastic but Gucci Guilty Elixir wins in versatility

Dude if you're putting on 21 sprays I promise you're the only one not smelling it. People go anosmic to smells all the time. It's definitely there your nose just isn't picking up on it from olfactory fatigue.

I just bought a cologne I tried 3 years ago. It smells too much like cumin for me and now im sad 😔. I really liked it before because it smelled like really strong cinnamon befkre Cologne: Wanted By Night; Azarro Not a fake. it's authentic.

I agree with 99.9% of what you said about Bleu De Chanel. The compliment factor being the only one I cannot get behind. The majority of people I've asked have admitted that they have never been complimented while wearing BDC, mother's/grandmother's/aunts not counting. As far as "Blue's" go, Versace Dylan Blue and Coach have been much more successful while Le Beau has been the King of King's. If you want attention from female's then JPG Le Beau works 1,000,000,000% of the time. If you don't want attention from the ladies then I'd advise you to steer clear of Le Beau, Le Male and every flanker they have out now and every one they release in the future 🔥🤘🏼

But as soon as I see it I'm going to buy it immediately and hopefully, if it's similar to the Le Beau EDT, it will earn a spot in my permanent rotation

@danieljohnston2585 contrary to me, I cant find Le Beau edt in any local stores. Got myself both le parfum and I like them the most out of my designer collection along with 1M royal. But to me le beau l'parfum is somewhat heavy for high heat everyday wear.

Ah, you have one of my favorites featured in Le Leau/ Le Parfum. If you let that one sit for a couple of months it gets sweeter and lasts longer IMO.
