It's no secret that global food supply chains can suddenly break and leave consumers worldwide scrambling with shortages. Now, we're being told to get used to seeing fewer options on store shelves as climate change, geopolitical conflicts, production challenges impact some of the biggest food makers out there. According to the Wall Street Journal, large grocery stores have reduced fresh-food offerings such as fruit, dairy products, and deli meats by 15% to 20% this year. On top of that, Coca-Cola, Oreo-maker Mondelez, Nestle, and Dove parent Unilever are among the packaged goods makers that have trimmed their product lines to cut costs in 2024.
Meanwhile, many grocery essentials are getting more expensive, too. Overall, food prices already increased by 9.9 percent, faster than any year since 1979, the USDA reports. To help you navigate this environment of tighter supplies and rising costs, today, we compiled 15 products that are likely to go out of stock in the months ahead. Without further ado, let's check out this list.

Just in America alone, there are approximately 769,000 beef growers, 24,000 dairies, 67,000 pig farms, 168,000 chicken farms, and 4,500 fish farms. This doesn't include the tens of thousands of farms. America produces far more food than it can use and there is no reason whatsoever for food inflation in America. The reason there are shortages and inflation, is that our food is being sold to foreign markets. We are betrayed.

1. Avocado Oil 2. Almond Milk 3. Canned Tuna 4. Coffee 5. Tomatoes 6. Spices 7. Dairy Products 8. Fresh Produce 9. Rice 10. Corn 11. Peanut Butter 12. Yeast 13. Sriracha 14. Crab Meat 15. fruit Stripe Gum 14 out of these 15 items I either don't care about or are covered. The only thing that I care about on this list is cheese. My primary source of calcium. I pick up eggs when I can only when they're on special. I live in a major produce growing area so I'm not worried about fresh produce just the prices I have to pay for it. Significant price increases in both fresh produce and cheese. We have a farmer's market every Saturday. Might be worth my while to cultivate relationships with these farmers.

If you are willing to buy Hot Dogs made of Pork and beef - they are cheaper than pure beef ones and taste fine too. A hot dog is nothing more than a sausage and most sausage has pork in it. On sale you can get the things you need to make your own pizza for far less that the Pizza Parlor is charging for one. Pasta is always cheap - and there is NO SHORTAGE in the USA of Tomatoes - that is a European problem.

Actuallly an informed consumer with some basic knowledge of the market they are in have LOTS of choices - right now PORK is cheap in most areas. Even Chicken - while more expensive than it was before the Pandemic - goes on sale regularly and you can get lots of good deals if you read the circulars and plan ahead. Recently my local Food market had BAY BACK RIBS on special for $1 a pounds for up to four pounds that is as cheap as it gets. Yes - you cannot get what you want all the time but be versatile and you can do quite well.

~Mrs Caroline Arnold was my hope during the bear summer last year. I did so many mistakes but also learnt so much from it, and of course from Caroline Arnold. She is my number one when it comes to crypto and TA.

EE, I appreciate your heads up on the 15 shortages BUT...the explanations you give seem to come directly from the overlords. IMO these shortages are orchestrated and many of the weather events that cause them are probably engineered. Don't buy the rationale for the shortages.
