Native Fortress isn't hard. The level just has really precise local triggers that if you hit wrong, you're gonna end up having to wait on a lot of things.

It's one of the more time consuming ones. I have every platinum relic in all three games, including Stormy Ascent, and I'd rank Native Fortress #3. The hard part is finishing the run.

I spent two days trying to get the platinum on Native Fortress, I have a big purple bruise under my thumbnail from that level, its a month and it still hasn't fully healed. I truthfully HATE that level. Meanwhile it took me about 20 mins to beat the High Road and maybe an hour to get Road to Nowhere. I'd say getting the platinum on Native Fortress was the hardest challenge I ever completed in a video game.

I'm still working my way through the platinums on Crash 1 (got all of them on 2 and 3), and Native Fortress is the one I got most recently. Maybe it's just me, but I really didn't find it that bad. In all honesty, N Sanity Beach was probably the hardest of the Crash 1 platinums I've got so far (which is the whole first island, plus Boulder Dash and Whole Hog). Sure, Native Fortress's platinum wasn't a walk in the park like most of the levels prior to it were, but it wasn't anything special difficulty-wise IMO.

I have completed all gold relics in the three base games, and almost all Platinum. I only have a few platinums left to finish in Crash 3, plus The Lab from Crash 1, which I only spent a little bit of time on to get the gold because at that point I just wanted to move on to Crash 2. The top 5 hardest to me of the Platinums I finished are: 1. Native Fortress (2 afternoons and a bruised thumb) 2. Hog Ride (This Crash 3 level took me about 10 hours, almost straight, to do) 3. Hangin' Out (Crash 2 level about 6 hours) 4. Generator Room (This took me about 4 hours and the controls were giving me issues where I was veering into the background when making jumps) 5. Piston It Away (This took me about 4 hours as well but there were no control frustrations. Spaced Out only took me half an hour. Both bridge levels from Crash 1 took between twenty mins and fourty mins. The jumps are hard on these bridge levels but there aren't a lot of variables besides the hogs, and even their patterns are pretty set in stone. Slippery Climb was tricky but I found that many of the jumps were easy to make if you just kept moving. I never had a problem bouncing off the birds, and I went Platinum in maybe an hour. The Lab would probably be in the top 10, but, again, I haven't actually got a platinum yet. The gold only took me 20 mins though. I literally did Bug Lite in two tries without much strain or shortcut hunting. Possibly the easiest level for me in Crash 3 besides the Medieval fantasy levels or the Hot Coco exploit.

There is actually quite a clever trick to save some time on that one. But even with said trick, there is a bit of luck (not literally luck, but it feels like it, I mean) to it.

You just have to be reasonable with yourself. Give yourself a number of attempts per level each time you play, it really helps. I found myself stuck on certain levels because I would just completely lose it with frustration. Just move onto another and come back later when you've calmed down a little. It also gives you some time to process everything and it will help you learn the level

thenasterchief1 I've beaten stormy ascent but I've yet to get the relic for it. It's the worst thing ever, although not nearly as bad as the high road though.

Fumbling is one of the hell on the crash 1.. has to be brave and not mentioning that we need to precisely know the entire level to finish it. its also not a short level by any means.. def on my top 5..

I've always done that on the PS1, so I didn't find it that tough.

I thought the only way of skipping the pits was to land a pinpoint precision jump onto the first rat that appears (knowing where it will appear from memory) and bouncing out. And this coming from a guy who knows how to glitch-high jump. What a fool I was. Made it heaps harder needlessly. rip

Native Fortress is hard for the first 40 or so seconds, but once you're on the higher section, I found it fairly easy.

I did Native Fortress again and I beat it on my third try! It's much easier once you know the levels. I had to redo all the relics again because for some reason people got 105% instead of 104! It seems if you complete Stormy Ascent before the final boss and have 20 gems or less the Stormy Ascent gem counts 3% instead of 2. Really odd.

platinum is generous, atleast we cutting corner at the 1/4 of the level (that we spent the most) and be little careful athe the second half of the level.. took me solid 6 hours to finish it (2 sucessfull attempt and beat dev time)..

This was made before Future Tense was added to the game. That level was added a year later.

@@tealgamemaster yea but what about sphinxinator? That bone headed troll of a level is kinda annoying. To get some time crates, gotta go back and fire at the clock with the bazooka and hit the crates. Then it’s just luck. Flamethrower bastards that change their patterns whenever they want, those opening and closing doors, and ice physics and lots of plstforms which are pretty hard to navigate.

Also the n.same trilogy has shittier bike controls so that’s probably why hog ride took so long.
