Flip the duvet cover inside out and do the same as pillows grab the two corners and shake goes on effortlessly

What are your thoughts on encasements? We encase our mattresses in every room and every pillow. We even travel with encasements for hotel beds and pillows.

I've been a hotel housekeeper for almost seven years and I think your bed making skills are top notch👏👏👏 I've actually seen people do the "whale" method with duvets - absolutely hilarious!!! If your fitted sheet is a tight fit, try starting with a top corner, then put the bottom diagonal corner on, follow suit with other side - hope that helps!

If you use a duvet, there is no need to wash it all the time. You just wash the cover whenever you change your sheets.

For the comforter/duvet cover, my mam taught me to put it on the same way you do your pillow cases - just turn the cover inside out, wear it like you’re pretending to be a ghost (without sticking your head in lol), pinch the corresponding duvet corners and do a little arm flip to shake it down onto the duvet/comforter - absolute life saver! Love your vids, picking up some brilliant hacks and tips!

I'm always impressed with how Americans make their bed, it always looks like in a hotel. In Europe we mostly just have a duvet and pillow. 2 minutes to make the bed.😎

It is a wonderful habit, that makes me feel accomplished first thing in the morning. I love my beautiful bedroom and want it to be a calming sanctuary for my husband and me. First of all, thank you so much for your channel. I am an older Mom and have learned and used so many of your hacks and tips. It is so hard to pick just one tip that I loved. I guess the sheet suspenders would be the best one. No matter how hard I try I can’t seem to find sheets that will stay on our bed. Also loved the spatula suggestion, it really does help. Especially if you have arthritis in your hands. Also I agree about the duvet cover. Thank you so much again!

Top sheet, oh yes! When you need just that little bit of covering and anything heavier is too hot. My mother taught me the 'hospital fold' and the pattern-side-down top sheet. YOU taught me the sheet-tag-bottom-right-side. :D Personally I think it's worth keeping the duvet to watch Ryan's acrobatics with that and the comforter LOL. I think my husband would question a spatula sitting on the nightstand...

I love a nice, crisply made bed, so I loved this video. I've been looking for the perfect pillow for the past few years and have spent a small fortune on it. I have a mountain of pillows ranging in cost from $25 to $150 and still had not found the perfect one. I ordered the one in this video and love it!! I had the best night of sleep last night!! Even my husband loved his! I threw away 8 pillows from my bedroom. Today, I ordered more for my daughter and my guest room. Thank you!!+

I’m from Europe and it was always a “must” to do our bed even from the age of 6. (At least one my household). Now, even though my husband has a nighttime schedule, I still do our bed even if it’s going to be made only for a couple hours. Also, im a little OCD about fluffing up pillows 🧐😌😊

I used to do it like that, so tight and beautiful. But found by the morning my feet were killing me from being pinned down under the covers like that, so now I make the bed loose and sloppy ha ha!

Hello! Yes, definitely use a top sheet year round. If it's too hot, it's perfect all on its own, very fresh. If it's too cold, I use it as a buffer in between my flannel blanket and fitted flannel sheet...so, fitted flannel, top sheet, flannel blanket. I've found that flannel blankets are warm, but also makes me a bit too sweaty, so the top sheet is perfect 👍🏼

You can easily put the duvet cover on the comforter by using the same method that you used for the pillowcases... turn the duvet cover inside out and grab the corners of your comforter and just let it fall over the comforter. I've used this technique for years

Not a top sheet family so we bought 2 really nice sheet sets and made a reversible duvet cover out of the 2 left over top sheets. We like our big fluffy down comforter but we need that duvet and now it's like we have 2😀.

A+++ Brittney! We actually use folex for carpet stains at our flooring store and even recommend our customers to get it! Instead of the ice cubes I usually just use a very wet wash rag and turn the dryer on again or if you have a steam setting put that on Love your budget friendly dupes 💕

My favorites tips are the freshing the mattress with baking soda as well as the pillow top recommendation. Our mattress is old and not comfortable but can not afford a new mattress right now. Maybe I can save up for a little bit to get the mattress pad you talked about. Love your videos! 😊

Duvets covers- 1, lay your duvet cover inside out on your bed. 2, lay comforter on top of that and line up corner to corner. 3, start at the top (closed end) and roll the duvet cover and comforter like a burrito 4, once burrito is rolled - stick your hand in the opened ends and grab the blanket/cover and pull back through the opening at both ends. It’s going to look wonky but that’s ok 5, unroll the burrito - the duvet cover will not be inside out anymore but a little messy as you unroll. 6, shake it out and your done! Easy peasy.

I'm a little hesitant about putting damp sheet on bed, especially if it's humid. Might cause some mold or bacterial growth on the mattress or mattress pad if it never completely dries?

Since my husband passed, I no longer use a top sheet, nor do I bother with blankets and comforters. I only have my fitted sheet, pillow, and a throw. This way I'm so much more comfortable and I can wash my bedding every day.

It must be a cultural thing because I don't know anyone in my country that makes his bed like this. We have just a duvet and 2 pillows, older people maybe a top sheet. I open the duvet completely in the morning and let it open all day long for maximum ventilation and just close it right before bed. No need to make it look like a fancy hotel room. Obviously, I respect the effort and artistry of the people who do it differently, but personally, I couldn't be bothered.

Ok my mind is blown with the blanket pillow thing. Like I will be doing that asap. Also the spatula in terms of tucking everything in with that. So helpful lol.

I love a good hack!! love the spatula trick, using that one forsure. I'm a top sheet gal, always have been and always will. Thanks for bringing us these hack, always learning a new way to get it done quicker. FYI, I always watch to the end because I love to see a Ryan appearance. Love a great laugh, and love your sense of humor.
