I love your detailed information because I want to do my best for my goats! If a person can't handle extra details they certainly can't handle goats. LOL I also know that if I get overwhelmed or don't have enough time to watch the whole video right then... I can pause it and watch later. 😉 Thanks Delci! I appreciate you! 🤗

So I just thoughts it’s funny cuz maybe it’s the difference and hardiness within different breed but I have Tennessee fainting goats/Nigerian dwarf mixes and our lady has had 2 kids so far both times we start heading towards the barn and they just out walking around already born already doing they’re thing and raised up just with momma no supplements or anything I truly stand by let nature do what it knows how to do! We give the animals the proper materials for all they would need in a natural habitat and they take care of themselves for the majority minus our maintenance we give them for there hoofs and hair ofc but than again I’ve never had to deal with with a sickly goat or something happening so this video is very helplful if I come across a problem!

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us newby’s. First thing I did with my newly purchased babies is mix their powdered milk too strong. They got diarrhea. It’s under control now. I still don’t know exactly how much to feed them. I have been feeding approximately 2 1/2 cups 3x daily. They don’t always finish it all. I have two little females. They are 1 month and 5 weeks old. They have hay in front of them always. I turn them out in a grassy paddock when the weather permits. I live in Southern Oregon and we have had tons of rain so they have been in a small barn with access to outside if they desire.

I Love all my baby goats, But I can't keep them all. Just kept one beautiful blue eyed Nigerian buckling and a silver and black doe. I sold the rest. I keep the mommies for milking. They are producing enough for me and my family. I love all the great info. You are truly blessed. Thank you for all the awesome information.

I've never used it. It sounds like it's the legal form of toltrazuril but it's still not approved for use in the US. Toltrazuril has to be mixed and bought from a pharmacist or vet or it's been mixed and sold illegally. So be careful with it because it can be dangerous or just not effective if it's not mixed properly. And personally, I have and use Albon.

Shivering engages any mammals defense to generate heat. As such it causes other problems, directly related being the consumption of sugars, if they can’t/haven’t eaten, their blood sugar drops and spirals into a dismal triad of death. So, just as Delci says, note the shivering as a sincere and drastic concern.

I really enjoy your videos! Your very informative and its detailed info... i look forward to watching your all videos! PLEASE DO NOT make SHORTER videos with LESS info I havent found it yet i need to look im guessing you had a video on feed... but im struggling to understand the size if a 'flake' is... im having a hard time determining HOW MUCH feed my goats NEED i like to feed well... i raise strong healthy animals, once i understand thier feed, an actual AMOUNT to feed would be AMAZING i would be over feeding ally animals... id free feed if possible. My goats ate enclosed with no free range grazing. I do go out and find forage and bring it to them, but this is a new 'treat' because i really dont know how much of what to give. I live in arizona, so we have sage, and mesquite and other desert plants... i think id like to use pellets a bit more... but i cant find good guidance on amounts to feed... its frustrating! Help please :)

So glad you’re enjoying the videos :) You’ll want to feed by weight. Figure out the weight of your goats. I do have a hay calculator on my site www.alifeofheritage.com you can type hay calculator in the search bar. It will tell you how much, in weight, to feed your goats. And then you can weigh some flakes and get an idea of what the weight looks like. And then feed that weight of hay a day. Your eyeballs will get used to what that weight looks like.

Question if you have any idea what this could be. Overnight after deworming all my goats adults and kids they all had serious diarrhea bad. I have corid, everything here but I am totally loss. 1 note I had a vet here over a month ago and lost one of my first timers so sadly. I got her over the blue udder Mastitis after again the veterinarian left. I think the veterinarian brought it in but I am not totally sure. They are still eating

I have a two day old Nigerian dwarf buckling and he has what looks like urinary calculi. His genital is extremely swollen and cannot urinate properly only one drop at a time, he’s quiet doesn’t seem to be in pain but he’s also not acting normally active. He’s a newborn who has been nursing from his mom but his mom is a first time mom so I’m not sure if May be she accidentally stomped on him or he was born that way and I didn’t notice it. I don’t know what else to do. He burly eats anything but I do try bottle feeding him. He gets up and walks for a little then goes lay down again. 😔
