I'm impressed with your driving ability. I put a 10hp on a 15' grumman canoe and it felt like it was going to flip over everytime I made a turn

Add, a hydrofoil to the Cavitation plate on the outboard engine and it will plane even faster without any of the operating problems you were experiencing.

It's 11PM and while watching this in my living room I literally yelled out "whoa" when you shut the gas off and the nose went sky high. Rofl. That 65" made me feel like I was there.

I just put rocks in the front and throw them out when not needed. Done that paddling when wind was stiff.

Put on a hydrofoil and then take a collapsible 5 gal. water jug, fill it at the lake and place up front. No need to haul the weight when not needed.

Hope you have all your boat registration and numbers on the side. In Montana any boat that has any kind of motor has to go through registration

Same in Pennsylvania. Plus, he'd be fined for running a motor over the rating for the canoe. That was just plain stupid and dangerous.

Getting mine ready to sell, I've never had it out on he water, 19 foot square stern Grumman with a 15 horse Johnson, my father confiscated the trailer and the engine, traded me a 1980 15 horse Seahorse outboard. Hoping to get top dollar for them.

Wow the 19’ Grumman did you sell it ? No longer in production they are going for $2000 plus in good shape in Alaska .

@@trumpie5399 no, market for them is saturated right now. Going to wait until the guy with almost same set up except for motor and trailer to sell. I will throw in the 9 horse Chrysler motor for help selling.

rated for 10 hr ... replace stickers ( 15 to 10 to feign legality ) ... add weight in front .. & buy / install pontoon kit ( Grumman ) -- makes you barely legal . Throw fuel in front w/ hose extensions and / or a couple boulders --- or a 200# buddy ... 18 gal in front will take you ?? 100 miles upstream ... and maybe back -- without paddles ...

Now, read the plate on the canoe and tell us what the legal horsepower is on that thing. I've got a 19 foot square stern that's only allowed 7.5 horse. What you did was dangerous and a bad example for everyone else. If you can prove your canoe was rated for a 15 horse motor I'll delete my comment. I've taught canoeing and kayaking to my PE classes for years. I would never allow someone to set up a canoe to be so dangerous. This was plain stupid

@@julianbarroso271 Actually, yes you can. The horsepower on the boat is the limit you can use. You can't go over the limit rating of the plate. The information on the plate is there for a purpose. It's rated by the company and that would be the maximum horsepower. My 14 foot deep hull row boat has a horsepower limit of 35 horse power. I have a 15 horse on it which is plenty. A 40 horsepower would be a ticket. Yeah, I guess the video is pretty cool to watch, but a truly stupid thing to do. Very dangerous. Let this knucklehead do the stupid stuff and you stay safe and just follow the rules. That's why they're there for us.
