HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIM HAPPY 71 st TOMORROW ! !!!!!!!

James I spray my yards with Dawn Dish soap in my miracle grow spray bottle hooked up to my hose. I do the bushes up the trunks of the trees, the grass and patio until it foams. And it kills all the mosquitos and the mosquito larvae and fleas. But it won’t hurt the raccoons. They use Dawn dish soap to clean wildlife after oil spills. I have NO mosquitos. None. Hope this helps - love you both..❤

No worries. I have 6 tonight. But the babies are staying hidden. Something is up !! Love that you both care for the raccoon babies. It has been extremely quiet in SW Washington State. I wonder if the Cascadia Earthquakes are freaking them out.

I would check the woods out in the day..with protection..and friends

Wonder why the raccoons aren't showing up? Must be something going on. It's very hot here but my raccoons still show up, there's around 15 and mostly babies. They are here in morning and evening. I'm really worried as this isn't normal, ya'll are usually loaded with raccoons and there have been very few for the past few days. When it gets really quiet out here and the birds and squirrels have disappeared, I know a hawk is out there and they're hiding from it, waiting for it to leave so they can come back. If I look around I usually see it. Maybe a coyote or bear or some other predator is scaring away the raccoons.

Ever since the one night something was spooking them, there's been less and less each night. Wonder if sasquatch really is out there in those woods! 😂

Happy Birthday Jim. Hello Angie and Jim. I hope no coyotes got any of the raccoons, esp the babies. I think the raccoons know to stay safe. Maybe the coyotes lost their dens with construction you said is going on in the area. Wait and see. I think if a bear is around, he would have found your food. I'm in Northern Ontario for the summer at my place and have raccoons coming occassionally in the eves. I can tell if a bear has been around. The feeders are in total destruction. Your bird feeders and tables on the deck would be overturned and all food gone if it was a bear. I bring in the bird feeders at night now after bear destroyed couple of expensive ones. I'm sure the raccoons will come when the coast is clear.

Here in ny another heatwave. It's brutal weather. Yesterday was 90 degrees. Today it was 92 degrees almost 100. In central park NY was 100 degrees. Tonight's temperature 86 degrees very hot. Wednesday will be 100 to 105 degrees. After that it will be between 85 to 88 degrees close to 90 degrees but we need the rain. With the heat index it's very high.

You seem to have a predator, have you got a trail cam. I worry for the babies in the dens, are they getting enough food. I hope whatever is out there moves on soon.
