#7 & #11 are pretty similar and my fav . Nt a fan of the island a diff color . Great job on transforming all 15 . Very impressive 👏

Number 14 hits home. I have oak cabinets and my last contractor talked me out of painting them. But the new island he make to look like a piece of furniture (I think) made up for it. But kitchen is still too dark.

Suggestions to refurbish metal cabinets

Hi Alexis! I would lightly sand the surface and clean it well. I have used the XIM Primer before to paint plastic and metal surfaces and it seams to work well. I would use that first and then the paint color of your choice.

Love all your kitchen makeovers. Just beautiful! I have dark brown kitchen cabinets and brown and cream granite countertops and I am priming my cabinets right now getting ready to paint the cabinets white when I came across your video. I think since I have some cream in my granite counters that painting them cream may be better than white. What color is the cream paint you used? I wish you were in Denver, CO 😊.

Wow! Amazing Transformations, I cannot just pick one. I'm trying to get inspiration. I have oak cabinets and need a transformation I only want to purchase countertop and backsplash. What do you think about bleaching the oak cabinets?

Thank you!! I used Sherwin Williams; Stone Lion SW 7507 in a satin finish.

It does make the the room larger but I’m very tired of seeing white cabinets in every kitchen makeover. #11 is my favorite because we have dark granite countertops but I also like #5 and #9.

So far I haven’t. I sand and clean everything really well before I paint. 😊

@@southernyankeedesigns1419 thanks! That’s what I am doing. U have inspired me to work with what I have. Very old cabinets and dark mahogany with polyurethane. Clean good or sanding is a pain.

@@susanwhitbeck4210 Susan, I totally agree! I have always hated sanding and prepping, but it is a crucial step to achieve a professional looking finish. After sanding, I always wipe everything down with denatured alcohol. It’s my favorite!
