I've been eyeing The Greenstalk Verticle Gardens for about a year now. One of your videos from a while back was what originally peaked my interest. After watching that video I began to check out others that showed people using the GVG. I have to say....your videos have been the most comprehensive of all that I watched. You also have taken the time to not only explain what you grow...but how you grow it and the results! Thank you so much for following up on the GVG....it's been a fun to watch the progress. Also...thanks so much for going into such detail on planting a Square Foot Garden. Once again....you've explained and demonstrated just how easy it is to grow veggies and herbs for a novice like me. At your suggestion I purchased the Mel's book and I love it! Keep up the great work....I certainly do appreciate you. ~ Patricia

Very nice system. I cut off all my fruits & veggies .... except for cherry tomatoes (for obvious reasons). There's no sense in fighting with a plant and end up breaking off stuff you didn't intend. I see so many people struggling with beans, when you can just cut them off at a fraction of the time. Many plants just can't handle all that manhandling. You are always so thorough .... thanks for taking the time to go into such detail. Take care.

Thanks so much! I will pull out my green bean plants after the next harvest in about 2 weeks. I found that my bush beans give me 2 really good harvest before they become exhausted. They would continue to produce into September, but not as vigorously. So I will succession plant a fall veggie behind them, probably carrots again!

I have 3 Greenstalk gardens that have been a delight.....an abundance of herbs and lettuces over the summer. I must confess that you have grown an impressive array of vegetables in your Greenstalk gardens. Based upon your success, I will try carrots and parsnips next year. I did try cauliflower and cabbage, but they never formed a head; just grew tall stalks. I will try to overwinter my herbs with the GS frost cover....we will see if it works. Thank you for the fertilizer and soil amendment tips, they are so helpful.

I just bought my 1st one, it's in the mail. 😍 thank you for sharing how to direct sow some seeds, I am looking forward to getting carrots and strawberries out of mine. We have lots of wild ducks and they destroyed my strawberry patch last year so this year I hope that vertical gardening keeps them out of my fruits and veggies. I'm gonna plant amarylis, rosemary and marigold in the bottom row. 😁 hope that keeps them off my planter.

Bush beans are my favorite. I grew them and pole beans last year and the bush beans easily gave me 10x the pole beans. That’s not a exaggeration either. I was harvesting a gallon sized bag from the bush beans weekly.

I love my Greenstalks. They are doing pretty well - probably would be doing better if I was better at watering and fertilizing regularly! I have kept up better than last year but there's still room for improvement, lol! One is full of peppers, one has pickling cucumbers, and the third has herbs, peppers, flowers, etc. Canned pickles yesterday & now need to harvest peppers. I wanted to purchase another at their recent sale but just couldn't afford it right now. Hopefully I'll catch the next sale!
