70 years later we all dead so fuck it. When you are 80 you will hate your life because those people already forgot you and then you sitting there as a loser. Maybe people judge you but 1 week later they will forget it but you will succesfull. If they had the change they would grab it and not be shy. So why you? What will they do let them judge

Playing it safe was my biggest take away. I watched this video back in november 2018 and decided to make a change and go big. I have lost about 15 lbs, and became a firefighter for the wildland department. Also in the last stages of starting a dropshipping business. Thank you Alux. Keep it up Aluxers!!!

Family over friends is entirely situational. Some people don’t even have a family and their friends become their family. Some people are treated so poorly by their families that they’re better off without them.

I’m 19 and my biggest regret for the past 5 years has been not spending enough time with my mom. It’s not that I didn’t know what I had until she was gone, it’s that I didn’t think I would lose her until it was far too late. So, spend time with your family, ask them millions of questions and appreciate them and tell them that because you may never have the chance to ever again.

@@melisaganci2120 thank you, I'm glad it was useful to you. It is uncanny how on-point our instincts really are. We must listen to them always! It's sort of like when you take a test, about 99-100% of the time, your first answer is the correct one. If we start thinking about it too much, we second guess ourselves and change the answer to the wrong one. Best to you, and thanks for your reply!

I'm only 26, but I've already learned some harsh life lessons: 1. Hard work does NOT equal success. This is a cruel reality most people don't want to admit because most people like to feel like they have control over their destiny. Knowledge, intelligence, natural talent, and dumb luck are way more useful than hard work. Effort is important, but it's useless without the other traits I mentioned. 2. Never take advice from anyone. What works for some people may not work for you. Learn from your own mistakes, not other's. 3. The person you are today may not be the person you will be in a few years. My passions have changed more times than I can count. The things that bothered me in the past I can now care less about. 4. Never make assumptions about other people, and never judge a book by it's cover. More often than not, things are not what they appear to be. This is the most important lesson I have learned.

At 50, the one thing I learned a little late was that there are some people in lives that don't need to be there. Association is a part of our success, good or bad, and we need to be aware of who we allow to be a part of it. Toxic relationships breed poor negative attitudes, while healthy relationships breed excellent positive attitudes. Some friends aren't worth keeping around if they're going to drag you down.

I'm only in Matric but I can truly say that my biggest regret has always been caring too much about what others think of me. Today I realise that my main goal in life is to attain peace for myself, free from whatever thoughts my mind tries to make me think people think of me.
@whatever5575

This I learned too late. Let go of the past. Don't dwell on it. You will find with that attitude, you will have more energy today since the past is not weighing you down. When you feel lazy, try to tackle a few chores. For example, I wipe the car for a few minutes with a towel and I feel uplifted by the cleanliness. When my room is messy, I spend 5 minutes organize it. It's amazing the difference it makes. You can apply this strategy to studying too. Spend half an hour solving a few math problems and it will not be so daunting next time.

I disagree with point 3 “family matters more than friends”. Not everyone comes from a good family and most importantly just because you’re related to someone doesn’t automatically make them your true family. Some friends I’ve made are a lot more like family than people I share the same blood with.

+shirley soares silva I think people have a hard time distinguishing between GOOD RISKS (as you say) versus needless/bad risks and lump everything into one fearful "Box". What helped me (very obvious) is to try and properly evaluate risk/ reward... Some risks are high but have terrible consequences or low reward whereas other decisions may have moderate consequences but amazing rewards but "We" the human animal tend to have a bad time making those distinctions which can cause some to "Freeze". Always good to get to plan B and plan for that too. Determine the success and failure points of every decision.
