Hi Katharine, Marie here! Bouquet is French. And as many French words it comes from latin. In latin: boscum, meaning many trees. So the meaning has changed a bit through the ages becoming an assembly of flowers.

I've been learning English since I was 12 and I am now in my late 30s and still learning😅 (I know this process will never stop as the language is constantly changing) I say this because I have watched so many channels and I am grateful for all but yours has something different something unique, it's got so much soul in it and it makes me come back again.
