Diane, you've mentioned how you don't have many sunny days in Denmark in the Winter and that can be hard to take. I'm always cursing our long, cold winters here in the Northeast U.S. but recently because of you I am appreciating our sunshine, and that puts me in a better state of mind. Also, that Denmark saying of "There is no bad weather, only bad clothes" tells me to suck it up buttercup! LOL

I can't tell you how many times I hear your voice in my head saying "One foot in front of the other" ! On Dec.29, my husband died suddenly. Though we had been separated for years, we still kept in touch every week & celebrated family occasions, together with our grown-up kids. I felt like a zombie the first week after. The cats always make sure I get up in the mornings! And I'd have your videos to look forward to. It really does help to keep those routines up. Thank you for reminding us to carry on even when we don't want to or don't feel like it. It's been a tremendous help in my life. Thanks for your encouragement.

I was so touched by this video! Thanks for sharing honestly from your heart about winter weeks that feel really tough to you. I had a hard week with ??? (Winter? Lung health? Not sure entirely.) But I really love your progress-not-perfection examples. So encouraging! I also love natural videos like this without a bunch of editing, music-overlays, and sped-up task completion. The fast-forward tasks really ratchet my anxiety, actually. Thank you for being natural, positive, and up-front. You're wonderful!

Greetings Diane ! Had a vintage vlog from a few years back I never had a chance to view. KZfaq must have a way of offering them to viewers on occasion. This was a great one and then I noticed your subscribers # is now 57K..Oh my goodness. We just celebrated 50K...Amazing. Enjoy your break and recharge. Hope all is well in Denmark. I have now had both doses of the Phizer vaccine. Feeling terrific - social distancing , washing hands and mask of course. 💙

Hi Diane. Thank you for another great declutter video! Funny story...as DH and I paid for our groceries at Costco this week the cashier and I started to talk about our mutual love of decluttering. I asked her if she watched KZfaq at all and told her to check you out. She actually wrote down your name as she started to serve the next client! All this from a conversation that started over a box! I love that you can recycle clothes/fabric in Denmark. It used to be like that in Holland when I was a young girl. Every once in a while a man came through the street to collect "vodden" name for non usable clothes/rags. Like you, I love scarves and have started wearing them in cold weather indoors. They look nicer as a "collar" than a turtleneck on me.

heehee Your "holy moses" scarf reminds me of one that I had when I was about 17 years old, same pattern, except mine was a light turquoise. I was a scarf queen back then, haha. Not judging ever! but I no longer have any of my clothes, accessories, or jewelry. hmmmm I think things must have been tossed out through moving over the years. I think it is refreshing that you have kept some sentimental clothing and jewelry because fashions go and then return.

I almost couldn't finish this video, I had anxiety even though they are not my scarfs. lol. I was talking to my screen..."oh will you sell me that one?" Clearly scarfs will be the absolutely last thing I try to declutter. Really enjoy your videos. I have learned a lot, including where to begin. Thank you!🌞🌻

I'm glad you mention that it is more difficult to part with family heirlooms, or things that have a sentimental meaning. I have made many Shutterfly photo albums of my grandson's early years, and thought of photographing all the things in my house that have a special meaning to me. I intend to stage them nicely and then photograph them, and put them in a Shutterfly photo album with short descriptions of why they have a special meaning. In that way, even if I do not part with them while still alive, my kids can feel more free to do so as they would still have the photo album of the things that were dear to their mom :)

Thx for another great one! lots of ideas-and I would never had guess that you had a tuff week! always look so fresh. (Had and have a bad week-burnt out so I will "repare" in the weekend and for today until going to see lancier (!) tonight.) Have done a litlle declutter of nailpolish this week thoug ;-) Think scarfs could be a good one to declutter next. Only 15 in. right? ;-) Have a nice weekend.

Good video. I’m a scarf, jewellery and hat person. I’ve moved to a warmer climate (Brisbane Australia) so don’t need as much anymore :( I moved last year so decluttering the house now so going through bedroom and ensuite this week and found some old jewellery and scares. I don’t want to go through it yet haha ps-turquoise is my fave colour ;)

You have mentioned several things I have known about and like as well. Colors for each skin tone (4) / seasons; flappers, (Thoroughly Modern Millie); and Mary Quant. Use the "Dr. Who" scarf tied around a pillow maybe. This video was quite fun. Thank you Diane.

Good morning from Ontario, Canada. The long, dark days of winter are challenging for me as well. Most mornings I’m watching your channel with my therapy lamp shining across my face.😊 I find it very helpful and I also use it in other seasons if we have extended grey periods. Stepher 63 Me, too. I sit under the the light box, with my coffee & listening to an audio book. I usually have a 🐈 on my lap, too. I look forward to this time. Here in Manitoba, cold days have changed to milder ones but with grey days. I'd rather have cold weather with sunshine!

I would admit that turquoise is my signature color, but I’ve grown to combine other colors so it’s not obvious- but my work planner is always one with a turquoise cover. It makes me happy... even if I’m scheduling work appointments. Didn’t know about it’s universal complimentary impact on all skin tones- nice!

This was great! I used to buy scarves in second hand stores all of the time! I think to me they were like miniature works of art. Unlike I you a have a short, thick neck, and I also have broad shoulders and a larger bust. This does not bode well for scarf wearing! I kept only one that my SDD32 (step daughter) made for me in beautiful organic cotton in one of my favourite colours. Now that I have only one I wear it a lot more. Your videos are so awesome because you are sensible and logical in your process but also warm and caring. Those items are not the people who gave them to you and you still have the memories.

Such a beautiful blouse!! Love that color. And beautiful scarves, too! I liked the idea of putting a broach on a necklace. I will definitely do that. Also, another idea is wearing them on a hat. I do that often.

I love scarves, I have about 15.. Good job departing with them.. I love that black and white scraf.. I purchased these hangers that hold about 10 scarfs each.. they work wonderful and then i can see them everyday..

Make sure you get your vitamin D levels checked Diane. Lack of sun can cause low levels and that definately makes me feel blah! X

Great video!!! You had me laughing when you mentioned "holy Moses". I have never heard that expression before. You are so witty. You certainly have some nice scarves. I have a collection too but I find it very difficult to part with them. I'm still trying to get a clothes swap going with my friends here but isn't quite catching on. 🖖🏼

Great video. Have you considered making separate boxes for winter, summer, special occasion or dress up scarves then you can find a particular scarf and you can swap boxes winter vs summer seasons? Have a good weekend

Diane in Denmark oh that's great!!! I used to take hoodies or t-shirts from my boys when became little but now since i follow you i take care more of myself and put nice clothes almost everyday 😁
