Either you provide a sufficiently stimulating environment that doesn’t admit prey animals or you accept that your cat might kill something. Your choice but since you refuse to keep the cat indoors or with access to a screened outdoor area, don’t complain about finding the occasional body. Also, most of my cats didn’t hunt other animals.

I totally agree. These videos remind me of my cat Jess. He was a tuxedo (and a really, really beautiful animal and very good natured. His coat gleamed like satin). Every time I went to the shops he would sit on the doorstep and watch for my return, and when I did he rolled over and let me tickle his tummy and he was so happy, even people on the street commented on it. Anyway one day he was in the back garden on the decking, and I thought he looked so cute I would go out for a tummy tickle. He saw me and rolled over - but he was on the edge of the decking and fell off. I laughed, he righted himself and looked at me as if to say "it wasn't me. It was an entirely different cat." Then he went and sat underneath the tree at the end of the garden for the rest of the afternoon giving me evil looks, until tea time when he turned up at the back door doing his silent miaow so he could have his pouch. I do miss that cat!
