Hey Jill! I just recently discovered your channel, (through Jess and Miah who I discovered not too long ago as well), and am so thankful I did. We definitely have some "random facts about me" in common, especially coffee!!! 😊 Your sweet spirit and enthusiasm for learning and teaching us along the way is such a blessing to be a part of. My husband and I have just moved to our new homestead this past year and I'm so excited to start growing more gardens and be as self sufficient as possible in the future and hopefully have a farm one day. Thanks for your videos!!! Sending y'all good vibes and support from "When Pigs Fly" Homestead. in Florida!

You’re a precious person. Thank you for sharing. Mission trips are so special. Because of health problems, I have never been unable to go on one. I was feeling down about that one time and then the Lord reminded me that they’re lost people everywhere, in our families, in our neighborhood, at the checkouts, the grocery store, everywhere, and if you know Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you are a disciple of Christ, and therefore, a missionary. We just need to share with anyone, anywhere. They all need to know, over seas, and here at home. It’s our mission field. Love your channel.🌹

As a retired public school teacher, I say it's not whether homeschooling is good or not. Homeschooling is only what the homeschool teacher puts into it as with any other form of instruction. What makes it good is an academic currriculum along with a home school teacher that will put fun and interesting activities into it, and then related them all together. It takes a lot of time, patience, and creativity to teach one's own children. Jill, I can see you being the best of the best home schoolers.

I was so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I lost my Brandon because he was born 3 months premature and this was back in 1991. I tried again a few years later and 3 months in to the pregnancy, lost another. I wasn't able to have children after that:( I would ask God "why" many many times and one day, on the way home from work, he answered me. I know it sounds crazy but i heard his voice. And he told me that I wasn't put on this earth to have children but to care for other people. And I look back on my life and that's exactly what i have been doing without even realizing it. Anyway... God bless you and your family. You are special people:)

I was always curious when I would see your wall and you said the herb room. I was into herbalism in the '90s, but life got away from me on it and the garden. Now I'm working hard on building it all back up. Heidi and Lacy on their channels have been huge helps with their videos and books. Have you started making any salves with them? I just started making infused oils using my seed mats now that we're in between seasons. I'm starting to use a few to make vinegars for hair, skin, cleaning, and other things. My herbs aren't big enough to make raw plant matter tinctures yet. We were too hot and they're just now starting to really take off with the cooler weather. I'm very curious about it.
@WhisperingWillowFarm3 жыл бұрын
Hey, i've dabbled into salves a few times but definitely want to explore with that a bit more. It's been so much fun learning and trying new things.

@@WhisperingWillowFarm Thanks to you, I was able to gets oats from Johnny Select. Plan on next season having them for Milky Oats Tincture. Thank you for letting us know about them. I was able to get some other herb seeds that I was looking for from them too. The calendula, comfrey, plantain and yarrow infused into coconut oil is absolutely amazing! I turned it into a salve and a black drawing salve. I have shared it with all my neighbors. I had to make more because one wants more for their family.

I feel prompted to share, I was a dula as well and I know a few women who have had multiple miscarriages. Threw a blood test they where able to find out they had MTHFR ( a mutated gene there's variations of which gene is effected) Natural-path doctors primarily test for it (western medicine doesn't want to /can help you figure out a lot of physical aliments) . The moms had a version of the gene mutation that caused clotting. So they would get clotting on the placenta causing the miscarriages. One mom was able to get a daily injection and took 1 aspirin everyday and was able to have 2 healthy pregnancies by stopping the clotting. Possibly something to look into??

That is a beautiful tattoo for the babies that you lost. We to have had our losses with babies before we had the 2 we have now. We have lost 4 by miscarriages and 1 still born that was born at 31 weeks of pregnancy, so I understand your pain. God had plans for our babies. We can’t eat plain tomato’s either. I love thrifting when I get the chance. Would love to get into herbalism and would like to know your go to book you use?

I don't think it's the home schooling that's the problem, but it's if the one being the teacher at home is really into it & is able to relate and enjoy it themselves ....... Though of cause we all have our off days. As with school itself, some teachers are just not really into it . Seems you & your hub. connect well & enjoy it.

Absolutely love the mountains, fresh air and changing weather. But, the soil is difficult (alkaline). So, to grow vegetable and fruits we most amend, amend and amend some more. Currently have 9 vegetable beds (and I keep building more..😅) I have 8 chickens and 2 ducks in my back yard. I LOVE have a little farm. My grandparents used to have a big dairy farm in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 with pork, goats, chickens and a horse named Veneno. All the grandkids spent our summer milking cows and working in the farm. I miss that life, so I spent my days watching you guys and other farms in KZfaq to live my dream of a perfect life throughout you. I learn a great deal too.
