It is very easy to get lost in this hobby, thankfully I've been smart so far.

There’s one KZfaqr and he’s the most addicted I’ve ever seen, he’s actually unhinged, he wakes up in the middle of the night thinking about statues (he’s admitted to that), he spends all day doing photoshops putting different statues into his collection to see what he wants. He’s constantly buying and selling, then rebuying the same statue again.

Yup i definitely have an addition but atleast I’m past the denial phase lol

I am guilty of being a statue addict but I am not a Mr. X addict. If it wasn't Mr. X it would have been someone else. Because of how difficult it is to afford or get statues, is the reason why I appreciate other people's collection. Thank you for sharing yours with us Mr. X.

A lot of these apply to my illogical hobby, buying sneakers. The stock market can also be an addiction.

The 15th reason definitely is Flankster, he told that in one of his videos, that will open the statue box minutes (seconds) upon delivery and leave whatever he is doing at that moment. and yeah i am one of those statue addicts

I know i am a statue collecting addict as i own a ton of statues. While i tell myself to stop, not a week passes by when i check out the news, and search ebay for deals. I tell myself 'STOP' and i stop. Then i have a few beers, and before you know i am on the slippery slope to putting in offers, or simply signing up to payment plan :D ..what fun! :D ..fuck, i have a statue coming in that someone glued together and painted, such is the power of booze! ..it's just a bit of fun sometimes. I hope the statue arrives unbroken. I know for sure, the paint app wil be unique and better than i could do. It has been on a ship for over 16 days and just landed in the UK. Who knows how long it will take to clear customs? - i have about 10 pre_orders at present with Sideshow, PCS, JND, and a couple of customs :D ..Cheers! i am on beer no.3 as i type :D ..naked ladies online.. YES! ..i have a favourite. Less about that.. Cheers!!! ..i have two statues that i have doubles of. How many collectors can say that? :D ..when that box arrive, it is opened immediately, the reason being, i suffer massive anxiety with regards to breakages and wonky eyes!

Guilty of 7 of the 15. I definitely would classify myself as addicted though, to statues and food. Nobody is perfect, but I have to remind myself to keep both in check. Thanks for this video X, is a good reminder. (Oh, and my wife doesn't know Mrs. X, but she knows Mr. X as the guy who sold me Hobgoblin and Demogoblin, she loved those statues...)

I think cost and numbers/volume are the true metrics. I totally get opening them straight away or not opening them for ages. It's probably better to open straight away in case there's breakages or QC returns that need to happen. Maybe also how beyond your means you are for space or price. I don't have my own house and have quite a lot plus am looking at picking up a few more here and there so think that's a bit addictive.

Omg this is sad but I hit every point except for the paying for storage and my wife knowing Mrs X (only cause has no interest in my hobby 🤣🤣🤣) this list made me laugh because it made reflect on every point and how badly I fit those points, especially the "having a sick day from work" as I have done this a few times when a statue was being delivered that day 🤣🤣

I'm in denial...I consistently go to my favorite sites daily to see if there are any new statues or if a flash sale on statues is live. I bought four quarter scale statues last Black Friday that I couldn't pay for immediately. I justified my purchases by saying "I'll pay for them with gifted Christmas money and my company bonus in February." As you said, that is not good. Let's just say it took longer than expected to pay for them.

In the end, we need to addict to something . Either it is gambling, vaping, gaming, streaming, gardening, eating, collecting, interacting with human or animal, or even bible studying. We decide how much we follow our feeling or reasoning. The bottom line is don't do anything you know you will regret later. And, don't do anything negatively affect your life. Definitely, don't spend 500k usd on an app game. Considering all that, collecting is not a bad hobby, because you hit your limit faster than other activities while without much harm. Except for the people always selling their body part for PO 1st day.

Not addicted but it's def a hobby. The only one I would disagree with is the #15. I am excited when a statue ships that I have been waiting for. So when it does arrive, I am opening that as soon as I can.
