Für Elise will always be the McDonald recital commercial song, and Beethoven's Fifth will always be the "Nobody's Home" answering machine message you could buy. I uhh... I may have watched too much TV in the 1980s. The wife and I caught a production of The Nutcracker last week, and I was so disappointed they opted not to do the Smurfberry Crunch song.

Pachabel's Canon in D also shows up everywhere (if not the melody, then the chord progression). The nice thing about classical music for modern artists, is that nobody will file a copyright infringement lawsuit against them for borrowing or sampling it in their songs. That's actually the same reason classical music was used a lot in cartoons - they didn't need to pay to license it.

You know, one thing I've constantly noticed about your videos: you have remarkably good hand technique. Very light and fluid touch, it reminds me far more of a skilled jazz pianist than classical. Really on display while you were playing Etude. Fluttering like that easily sounds awful if someone hasn't cultivated the ability to float across the keys rather than pressing down to play the individual notes quickly: which really is a quintessential jazz technique.

Two suggestions for volume 2. Schubert's "Die Forelle" which apparently many know because their washer, or is it their dryer, plays when finished. Also Francisco Tarrega's "Gran Vals" which contains Nokia's ring tone.

Nani?!?!?!?
@solandri69
@solandri69 6 ай бұрын
@@ShanMichaelEscasio It's true. Nokia just changed the last note from a part of Gran Vals, and made it their ringtone. It's a pretty short piece and the ringtone part comes pretty early, so just search for it and listen for yourself. (And FWIW, Vinheteiro has included it in some of his "songs you didn't know the name of" videos.) Die Forelle (The Trout) is a bit more difficult to find. If you search for it you'll probably find the piano quintet version, not the much shorter lyrical version. In the quintet version, the actual theme (played by the washer) isn't until the 4th movement.

See now that first one is actually one I would count as having heard but not known the name because our washing machine does play that when it finishes. I knew it had to be a classical piece, based on how it sounded but not which one. This video was mostly pieces I already knew the names of and then pieces that I did not recognise the sound of at all and had no idea who the composer was, and a few where I didn't know the piece but could identify the composer based on how their other work sounded.

I know some of these from my own piano training and… I also know some of these for being nice sounding public domain music in indie projects and video games lmaoo. There’s a whole visual novel I read awhile back called The Devil on G String. It’s a mystery/thriller story but all the ost tracks are remixed from various portions of classical music with different instrumentation because the main character loves classical music. (And the “air on g string” plays an especially key motif musically in one of the branching stories.)

I’ll try to explain it. I’ve played piano for around 12 years. Every song takes practice and practice to get it. If you listen to that song, theirs a ton of repeating which does in turn make it easier. If you know how to read sheet music and if you have fast hands and just practice and practice, you can play anything eventually

There seems to be more and more people saying the problem with music IS sheet music and notation, it is a really inefficient and unintuitive way of writing down music. People giving up sheet music altogether are getting more and more capable, especially in classical fields, and ditching notation is a big reason many supposedly 'impossible' pieces (think Rush E) are suddenly staples and standards for pianists....

Vinheteiro sempre dando show!

@MarcoMugnatto
@MarcoMugnatto 6 ай бұрын
@jonathanvargas7901
@jonathanvargas7901 6 ай бұрын
@MarcoMugnatto
@MarcoMugnatto 5 ай бұрын
@jonathanvargas7901
@jonathanvargas7901 5 ай бұрын
