15# Southern Album, Wainwright D and Marsh I3 model railway locos

The SECR Wainwright D class 4-4-0 nicknamed Copper tops This one Numbered 1737 and in 1936 condition.
The LB&SCR I3 class was a class of 4-4-2 steam tank locomotives designed by D. E. Marsh for suburban passenger service on the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway

What a nice video. Good measured production. I grew up in Ashford and remember being fascinated like only a three year old could be at the sound of a loco with its whistle stuck, well that's what I was told it was. It went on all morning. So much of Ashford Railway Works is now gone. And our journeys from Ashford to London Charing Cross could on occasions take two hours. Of course now we have Javelins, and we get to St Pancras in 38 minutes!

Finally some more footage of her - most elegant indeed! Very glad Dapol announced there RTR model when they did as I was about to rush down south to purchase South Eastern Finecast’s kit. Thank you for another fine showcase.

Really like your vids. Think you have a brilliant narration voice. The lining on your Dad's loco is impressive.

Wow, that is most kind of you, I always feel very self conscious about my voice, but if you like it that is encouraging. Yes his lining skills were amazing, used to cut cigarette papers up to use as the lines and then mat varnish over the top

@@ModelRailwaysUnlimitedNo probs. I'm self concious about my voice sometimes, I could do with more consistent diction I think. Your voice sounds perfect for the historical documentary style I think you're going for. That's a pretty inventive work around with the Rizlas (asuming that brand). I'd never have known had you remained silent on the method. Works well.

Nice Loco Mike must say I am tempted by the Ace 0 gauge coarse scale model of the D class that is being released soon ! not bad for a dyed in the wool GWR man !

another beautiful loco constructed by your Dad. I look forward to Dapol's Class D. On my layout I have two ex Triang Hornby L1'S and an OO Works Class L Did your Dad make a Class D1 or E1. I quite liked the Belpaire boiler versions.
