You see pictures on Instagram of successful sports celebrities (like a certain boxer) surrounding themselves with bundles of cash. Wealthy people have no use for cash. And they have personal assistants who pay the bills for them. They don't know what most things cost.

Haha, they eat fast food only infront of the camera to motivate people to buy product from companies they own a stake of, Warren Buffett markets himself as a regular consumer of coca cola or McDonald's simply because he owns a huge chunk of these companies and he wants people to buy their products.

We read news in the media that doom and gloom is coming and we just accept it, doom and gloom doesn’t always have to be coming, I’ve read numerous success stories of people that are pulling off tremendous gains of up to $250K within weeks in this crazy market and I just want to learn how to achieve such figures.

Since the crash, I've been in the red. I’m playing the long term game, so I'm not too worried but Jim Cramer mentioned there are still a lot of great opportunities, though stocks has been down a lot. I also heard news of a guy that made $250k from about $110k since the crash and I would really look to know how to go about this.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.
@theresahv
@theresahv Жыл бұрын
Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

It's funny to me when I see people who think of "sales" as a way of saving money. Take a buy one get one free on two pairs of shoes. Say a pair of shoes is $75 dollars but if you buy it, you get another pair of shoes for free! But that's not the case the cost to make the shoes is 30 dollars. This can also apply to other brands of clothes. For the most part you're paying for the BRAND and not the quality, same applies to sunglasses. A $5 dollar pair of glasses vs a $500 pair of glasses only the $500 pair of glasses has the word "coach" or "Gucci" inscribed on it.

My wife and I did very well in the amount of money that we amassed for retirement. Well over 80% of that money averaging about $2 million was made because of taking advantage of buying high-end stocks at a deep discount during the Great Recession. 2009 I fired the stockbroker got rid of all mutual funds and bought individual dividend stocks. Statistically people that are at the same level of wealth with the Jenners and Kardashians do not have children or had them later in life. Also, statistically more poor people have more kids, earlier in life, than rich people. That's what Alux was referring to.

Ironically the numbers are staggering on the poorer side. While the rich do commit suicide quite often, a lot of it is due to emotional issues money can't solve, and pride, something money worsens. The poor commit suicide for the same, and/but different reasons. For every 1 "rich" person that commits suicide because Fee-Fee their poodle died, or an investment tanked, 300 "poor" people leave this life behind for a host of things ranging from obesity & poor diet, to healthcare bills, or a significant other broke up with them. And another statistic is how "poor" people do it. The "poor" are more prone to smoke, eat, and drink themselves to death, destroying themselves from the inside out. The very slow suicide rather than the quicker route is not much spoken of.
@thegazetteyt
@thegazetteyt 6 жыл бұрын
ALl of what you cited poor people dieting from are generally money related. If you have more money you can eat better, go to the dr more, relieve the stress more, etc. But rich people killing themselves because their dog died is something all different. There is a lack of a coping mechanism based on not haing to compromise comfort. The real question that would be asked is what is the subside rate of people who inherited their money vs are self made rich.

Still can't passed the whole not buying clothes on sale part. Usually products from the "big fancy" stores have a 100-700% markup. Why would I pay full price when it isn't worth it? Makes no sense to me! Maybe a millionaire out there can elaborate?
@rogergeyer9851
@rogergeyer9851 6 жыл бұрын
As a millionaire who mostly got there by doing things like buying durable clothes at Walmart and garage sales and wearing them until they fell apart -- and saving and investing my money instead of wasting it -- I think their point on clothes is complete nonsense. Or on cars -- buying a good middle class Toyota and driving it until it literally wasn't worth it to fix it. Or living in a lower middle class apartment and never moving while I was working. Such things save a LOT of money over a career. Money which can be invested, and then earn income, which can be invested. These people are more of the "dress for success" and "virtue signaling" variety. As if saying "look at me" will get you promoted in ordinary jobs. Getting educated, being reliable and productive and consistent will get you FAR more in the real world, if you work for a good boss/company. This isn't just my opinion. I lived it.
@mlu007

You're right. I would never buy clothes off the rack at full price even if were a billionaire. They're usually marked up at least 100% if not more. Also, I would never buy a designer item at full price. You're not paying for the actual value of the item but rather the brand equity that the designer name is adding to the true value of the item. The only time you should pay clothes at full price is when you get them made bespoke by a tailor.

Of course when my mother's doctors discovered her brain tumor, she was getting it checked out as often as her insurance would allow her. It wasn't her fault that they ended up misdiagnosing her. When they found out she had terminal brain cancer she quit her career as a teacher so she could make more money doing manual labor as a factory worker. As a single mother she is doing the most she can to give my younger brother and I the necessities in life while still paying for whatever cancer treatments our shitty insurance doesn't provide. Daffy 420, what a lovely outlook on life you have. I have a similar philosophy; life is not all about having what you want, but wanting what you have. I'm sure the likes of Alan Branson & Richard Lord Sir Sugar would heap scorn on my small 2bed flat, 14 year old car, charity shop furniture and sale rack clothes, but I love and feel content with all the things in my life, and I derive a huge amount of pleasure from sharing them with others. Everything I own was carefully saved for, paid for in full, and is lovingly cared for and appreciated. nothing has money owing on it. I consider myself one of the wealthiest people in the world; Because I don't count money, I count the love in my heart, the dreams in my pockets, the integrity of my soul, the kindness in my nature, my willingness to share, and all the strong loving friendships I have with the people in my life. I don't want or need lots & lots of money, because I already have something much better; It's enough. Most of all, I'm happy. Very very happy. Try finding a 'rich' person who's happy.?.. I rest my case.

I AM broke but not poor and there is a difference, i only buy food, shampoo/conditioner and the like and often try to come up with ways to get some extra cash still I dont have enough money to spend on clothes I probably have only around 120-150 usd to spend on clothes a YEAR( or 12-15 usd per month) So I wont go buying just one pair of pants at 80 dollars I'll buy the pair that is on sale so that I can also afford one or two tops and/or underwear because I also NEED a those and not just pants. Still I never watch tv I dont have the time but KZfaq and the internet is my tv I guess, I dont watch sports unless there is somebody I know that are in it, but if I get home and somebody looks at ballroom dancing competition, horses jumping or figureskating I'll enjoy it. Those are interests I have had but that I have dropped. But I dont care about the results. More like to succeed in life set short term goals and long term goals you need to get a degree find a career that your interested in do your research on how long it would take to get there see what the pay is, is it in high demand and etc. There's nothing wrong with buying clothes or anything on sale that's money you saved yourself from paying full price. In order to establish credit you have to start off small to establish credit over time you build your credit so creditors see your credit score credit worthy and apply to increase credit amount. I don't agree that hanging out with poor ppl its bad for you the rich are snobby, selfish I can go on and on. This video is dead on like Trumps way of thinking he's superior because he's rich when he was born into money he also misused funds for personal gain to build a business from the St. Jude foundation along with many more foundations that money ppl donate to charity is suppose to be used for that purpose. I believe what they meant was impulse buying based on said item/s being on sale. e.g. buying items you don't particularly need, or were not originally intending on buying, but due to the fact they're on sale, you decide to purchase them(thinking you're getting a bargain). this is especially likely to happen when clothes shopping, grocery shopping, or when seeing some fancy doodad at a dollar store or what-not.

Point 4. Most of the world's successful people don't adhere to a regimented sleep pattern. Often they sleep minimal hours, and spend their greater number of waking hours developing their vast and grandiose plans. I mean, also, if you wake up at 3am, are you an extreme early riser, or someone with no control over their sleeping patterns.

Yeah if I'm lucky to be at peace on my death bed then I might. If I happen to be dying of cancer though, you can mark my words on it that money may not save you, but it will take away much more of the suffering that actually lets you remember the beautiful experiences you've had with your loved ones instead of falling in and out of consciousness in agony. Money helps greatly in maintaining happiness because it gives you enough sense of stability and security to actually enjoy and create beautiful family experiences.

#15 is sooo true. Especially, with family! Just because we are related doesn't mean I have to give you MY retirement savings for a half ass dream. You should also add, rich people live below their means. I remember reading the next door millionaire back in the 90s and what stuck out to me was that the average milionaire drives a Ford or Honda and likes to eat Subway sandwiches, NOT caviar. Being rich or poor is a state of mind. You can make a million and spend $2 million, look at all those lottery winners (losers).

J H The word you're looking for is incentive - You will also notice I used the word 'generally'. I'm not saying ALL people who are born to poor families can't make it, but there are a lot more factors going against them than there are against folks from richer backgrounds. They tend to live in poorer areas with lower performing schools, where the kids have an almost anti-educational culture and teachers struggle to maintain discipline in the class, leading to them almost being unable to teach things even to those students who want to learn. These schools also have a lack of other rich folks to network with, leading to it being far harder to break into the higher earning echelons by simply knowing the right folks. How many times do you see barely competant folks hired straight into upper management simply because they went to school with the boss? Quite a number of times here in the UK at least.
