That last match versus brazil must be his greatest masterpiece. Not only the performance itself which is obviously ridiculous but the whole context of his last competition in such a big moment (world cup 1/4) against what must be the greatest brazilian 11 of the 21th century. Zidane was football that night. The perfection of the game resume in this match. It will never be matched ever. In brasil everyone love zidane despite beating them twice in BIG confrontation. He didn't only beat brazil, he became one of them.

At around 4:14 you can see another Zidane Quality. Although he is already the technically best and most delicate Player on the Pitch anyway, his Jersey is dirty as hell because he wasn't above doing anything, while his Teammate in the Background is sparkling white.

He was always doing the right move at the right time. He didn't even look at the ball while running with it/dribbling. This guy is special. Unique. From another world. He accomplished so much for french football worldwide. And for himself and his teams and team mates. I have seen many players in my life. Some made me cry of joy. But noone like him. I am still amazed when I look at him. Fascinating player. Incredible. Some things I still don't understand how he managed to do them. And I never will. But he did them. Superhuman. Beyond belief. But we saw it. This guy played another football than anybody else. It's plain to see. And I feel priviledged to have seen him play. (It was not "play", it was art. I saw an artist on the pitch.). This guy has no price. You can't put a price on someone like that. I have seen Ronaldo Nazario da Lima, Ronaldinho, Marc Overmars, Laurent Robert, Jay Jay Okocha, Romario, Denilson, Éric Cantona, David Ginola and many others. And they were great talents. But noone was so elegant as Zidane. He played something different than football. And it was mesmerizing .

Messi and Ronaldo have never experienced heavy injuries as they were both protected on the pitch by the referees throughout their careers. Particularly Messi.

Yes the 2000/01 Inter Milan team underachieved that season, but player for player they were arguably one of their best teams put together. The likes of Ronaldo, Vieri, Zanetti, Blanc, Cordoba, Seedorf, Pirlo and a young Adriano was arguably their most talented team in a generation. But yes they were not successful

Galactico days i pull my hair out at how much we struggle. With Zidane we won 0 copa del rey and just 1 la liga. Thank god at least we got 1 CL. Barca had better team than Madrid, Ronaldinho was better than Zidane. Madrid was unbalanced team, a mix of top players and scrubs like Pavon lol. Zidane highest scoring season just 12 goals. Not great for an attacking mid that is supposed to be legendary. His ball control sure was and he had great passing game, so he definitely was good, just overated by fanboy weirdos who know nothing about football.

Apart from Casillas , all of them were old and out of form , if they were in their prime nobody would have stopped them , not to mention the defence was a mess . When you want to rate a player you rate him by individual performance not by team trophies because he doesn't play alone

Yeah, just one liga, one champions league with the most beautiful goal ever in champion's league in the final, european supercup, and others... and Cannes was a little team in France, Bordeaux had some wonderful performances in Europe, a historical match against AC Milan, two goals in 98 WC final, almost single handedly won 2006 WC, humiliate Spain and Brazil, a panenka against Buffon in final, considered by every great players and top coaches as a all time great, but yeah, tell me you don't know nothing about football without saying it...
