For the rug thing, here’s a trick I learned. Place 2 ice cubes on the part where it starts to bend, then place a glass on the tip that sticks up, wait for the ice to melt, then remove the glass and it’s fixed.

Here’s a tip: Before buying the tape you can place ice cubes and something to maintain the rug right and then when the ice cubes melt , the rug is not folding !
