I swear Billy Kincaid is one of the most horrifying serial killers put to comics and fun fact, Spawn killed him at least twice. First time was after he kidnapped that little girl, Spawn strung him up in the police chief’s office and the two cops trailing both him and Spawn got the blame. The second time was in hell during Spawn’s first invasion, he got decapitated!

People wonder why Batman is nearly unhinged. Batman has seen some stuff. He has seen the worse of humanity. The Justice League should just back him. Wow.

Batman deals with some truly disturbing characters in his adventures.

Beauregard Salt (The Phonebook Killer) from Crossed. A man so insane and evil that the crossed virus didn't change his personality at all.

Kincaid was so unsettling in the old HBO spawn animation.

Ngl, Birthday Boy looks and sounds like a great slasher villain

What a great list. Several times, I thought "I should mention..." but then you included them after all. Some others: Kryb - Another yellow lantern, she collects the small children of lanterns she's murdered. Flamingo - A flamboyant Batman villain who eats faces. Muse - This Daredevil foe turns his crime scenes into works of art. Queen of Hearts - Super underused in my opinion, her name alludes to her habit of taking out victims' hearts and treating them like babies. Gorehound - Giving a bad name to horror fans all over.

I will never forget the full page panel depicting Billy Kincaid strung up and impaled with popsicle sticks.

Didn't even bring up the fact that Onomatopoeia was even able to outsmart and gain Batman's trust enough that he brought him to the batcave and reveal his own identitiy. Then he straight up murders Batman's love interest in front of him.

It's funny to notice that most twisted characters in comics all come from DC and pretty much all are Batman villains. 🤣 This is why people say for the most part that DC has always been darker between DC & Marvel. But they forget that that darkest is always Batman related versus anyone else. 🤣🤣🤣

One of my favourite iterations of Victor Zsasz is actually the Gotham TV series version. I like how he was a blend of psychopathy and a dark sense of humor.

Yeah but there was one guy and I can't remember his name, but there was one guy in The Sandman, I think Volume 3 or maybe 4, and he was really a pyscho that made me a bit queasy because he would kill with no rhyme or reason sometimes. Like he kidnapped a girl, she got him to talk a little on the hour ride, and then afterwards he killed her anyway just to silence her. He got his in the end though. I just can't remember the guys name. But he was more disturbing than The Joker even. I also think that guy that was a part of Dream's team from Sandman comics, who went AWOL, Corinthian, I think he's also crazy. Edit: I got the name, John Dee was his name From Vertigo comics.

Dang, I didn't realize Batman comics were so dark. I used to read them in the 80's but I don't remember this kind of stuff. Although I do notice most of these were created in the 90's or later so I guess that explains why I never noticed.

I have an idea for one I'm working on. I call him Masochist. You can probably guess what powers he has. There aren't many, just two or three. Trying to find a way to make him creepy without going into edgelord territory, but so far, I think I've got something to work with.

Ah yet again serial killers are mentioned yet no one talks about judge Jay death, a boy raised by a murderous dentist father who grows to become a street judge who seeks ways of only killing his prisoners until he deems life a crime and the sentence to be death.

I'd like to nominate Ira Rath. Ira was about as merciless as a man could get. His regard for human life is depicted in the first few panels he appears. Ira has two targets, whom he forces to march into a sort of muddy pit. After dispatching the two individuals, he discovers an infant. The infant was not his target, and it was far too young to be any sort of witness or threat. Ira, being the heartless creature he is, discards the infant into the mud alongside the two people he was hired to kill. While he seemed to derive no joy or pleasure from these acts, one could argue that Ira is simply a joyless man. To that end, there is no greater logic or motivation behind his actions. He kills people because he is paid to do so, this is his job and he does it well and without question. You, as a human being, are only as significant as the effort it takes to aim and pull the trigger, and the motivation he has to kill you. This callousness is why i deem Ira to be worse than many of the characters depicted. He is well within his mental faculties, he has no illusions as the reprehensible nature of his character. He simply cares little. Of course he develops or whatever, but stuff doesnt really work out for him. He does live and die in Alabama

I assume calling Batman a sociopath is a joke since if he was he probably wouldn’t care so much about people sure a sociopath could take up saving people like Batman but a sociopath wouldn’t care if they failed to save someone one time where as when someone dies that Batman tried to save you can see it negatively effect him also he would never of taken in Dick or any other Robin since he wouldn’t of cared enough to.

if anyone else here likes robots, id definitely reccomding reading the IDW Transformers comics. Sunder, Tarn and Shockwave are three of the most absolutely terrifying villains from the franchise. Sunder can alter peoples thoughts, memories and mind from a distance but he can only do if he can see them, so his eyes were carved out and ised as a necklace by Froid. eventually, Sunder got his eyes back and almost immediately made Froid forget how to transform, followed by forcing Froid to attempt transformation, which ended up tearing his body inside out and leaving him a mess of mangled robot corpse on the floor. of course, he did quite a few other things but that was to me, one of the mist iconic moments, aside from a panel that is entirely taken up by his eyeless face. his appearance was somewhat brief compared to Tarn and Shockwave but he was equally horrifying as those two I'm not looking to write an essay here so just check out TFWiki if yall want more of these guys lol

Batman gets the worst rap for "not killing his villains who escape and hurt again" but that is because Batman serves the justice system, and the system is and always will be corrupt. But Batman can't break his sense of justice, it's a vicious cycle.

How is that even logically possible. So he murders and touches children and he was released only 6 years for good behaviour? That is illogical by a ridiculous degree. That's life sentence right there with no chance of parol. What even?!
