I was in the middle of your get ready with me vid where you were talking about your childhood. You should be so proud of where you are today and you don’t sound bitter towards your parents. Unfortunately it’s disappeared so never got to the end 😢

Hi, you probably found out by now, but for the nut milk, you ain't supposed to mix them with the soaking water. This is meant to drain the nuts from chemicals and such. Like legumes, you should replace it with fresh water before mixing it.

Grinding chia seeds in your Nutribullet will make them easier to use for thickening or as 'chia eggs' for baking. I grind some up once a week to add to my porridge and smoothies. I usually add linseed/flax to the mix as they're also very nutritious (and cheap). The mix is best stored in the fridge. Good luck with your challenge! You certainly have great creativity and a positive attitude, so with consistency, you'll succeed.

Try frying the gnocchi and then stir through tomato paste or sauce.😊 I found your channel and have been enjoying a catch up of the video. Try using the nut pulp in a pancake mix and you could use the potato juice in slow cooker soups Trying chopping the stale bread before blending 😊 Interesting video 👍🇦🇺

You can use the starch from potato water for cooking. Just get rid of the water and dry the starch. Or cook a stew and add the potato water with the starch to it to make it thicker.

You can use dried potato starch for many things i.e. popular in Poland desert made of boiled fruit compote thickened with it. Kind of a jelly.

I bought my first flat at 43(nearly 44), all completely self financed. I have just paid off the mortgage 10 years in. I live in Glasgow, I used to live in London but if I stayed there I would have been a flat sharing pensioner, lol. That wasn't the reason I moved to Scotland but it certainly was a perk.

@@BudgetFoodieUK thanks, I think the best bit of advice I can give is to have realistic expectations. I mean I would love to say I live in a trendy part of the city but at the end of the day if I can't afford it, I can't afford it, so not much I can do about it, lol

Great experiment. Here's some feedback and a recipe tip. Keep your camera steady. I am one of many people who get dizzy and a bit nauseous by too much fast zooming in and out. I am also someone who does not like background music. I find it unnecessary and distracting and either click away or turn the volume down as much as possible to fade out the background music, if I am interested enough to keep watching. Here's the recipe tip for roesti/hash browns: peel your potatoes, boil them, drain, let cool (preferably overnight). Shred on the coarse side of the shredder, add some salt and onion powder. Fry. If you have a Belgian waffle iron like me, fry them without oil in the waffle iron. Super easy, fast and delish. Eat with ketchup or apple sauce. Keep up the good work 👏 👍

@BudgetFoodieUK the kids are so fussy hard find recipies all 4 like. My 2 teenage daughters will eat veggie options. Husband loves meat but he's currently on a diet so says he fend for himself. We have 13 days to next pay day . Stock taked what I have freezer/ cupboards think meals for me could be what already have. Have week off work so might try searching as many yellow sticker items. Trying to reduced food down to £100 per week. Budgeting 25 household £25 bathroom and £20 pet as dog has loads treats left over from Christmas still. Like you want to pay off credit cards/ overdraft food is the only variable. In addition to 7 nights dinners I make 15 packed lunches for kids per week it's lunches and snacks that really add up.

@BudgetFoodieUK well no reduced in lilds or morrisions this morning but lucked out in Iceland 3packs lean mince and 1 pack chicken fillets for£7 as used eldest discount card 15% off reduced items. Doing Mexican night faittas and tacos for whole family tonight as treat. Doing spaghetti bol tue and freezing 3rd pack mince for slow cooker chilli for final March week. Have loads reduced garlic bread/ pizzas and sausages in freezer from lilds. 8 30 best time lidls as 60% off fresh and sometimes £1.50 fruit / veg box. My local aldi seldom ever has reductions. Sounds odd as expensive lots items but tesco express and sainsbury local sometimes take 50% off late morning or lunchtime mire chance getting reduced there than the larger supermarkets. Have you tried too good to go or olio both can be fab just not much choice locally as I am a city centre suburb.
