15 wrx p000a issue SOLVED!!!

hey everyone, my wife's 2015 wrx has been running poorly and had a p000a code (camshaft position slow response bank 1) I chased my tail for a while with this one and I finally figured it out! I hope you enjoy the video, and if you need any help or have questions don't hesitate to message me!

For those reading in the future you don't have to change them both. Each code p000a b c or d is to a specific area. Bank 1 is passenger side. Top is A lower B, driver side top is C and lower D

Can also be a cam sensor under those codes and would also link to the corresponding area. Easy test method is to switch the sensors. If the code changes from A to B C or D you know it's that sensor you just moved

For anyone the needs that info: P000A "A" BANK1 - Passenger Side Top P000B "B" BANK1 - Passenger Side Bottom P000C "A" BANK2 - Driver Side Top P000D "B" BANK2 - Driver Side Bottom

I have codes: (1) P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor A Bank 1. (2) P0345 Camshaft Position Sensor A Bank 2. (3) P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A 2016 Subaru WRX. So far, I changed all 4 oil control valves yesterday. I plan to drive cycle the vehicle and see if the codes go away since I had the battery disconnected during replacement. Do you believe this should fix the problem, or should I replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor?

Thank you for making this video! I also had P000D and initial wanted to replace the Cam Shaft Position Sensor. but it was the Oil Control Valve. Make Some More Vids, You are great!

Thanks for posting this video. I just got this exact code on my 15WRX. I’m hoping if I replace the sensors that will fix it. Have you gotten the codes back since you posted this video?

I have a P000C code on my subaru 2015 wrx but I am always on time on my oil changes and never late, I dont race my car or mistreat it.

So my 2015 sti is getting p000d (exhaust cam slow response) every day or 2 so I’m gonna try replacing the oil control valve for both exhaust sides

I think a,b,c, or d just references what sensor it is.

A quick question - did ur car fluctuate, run unevenly, when started? After a moment it would go away but initially it would be kinda rough. I got the code, the car shook but then the code went away and i have these weird starts. Thnx in advance

Around the 7:00 minute mark in the video I show the part numbers, just call dealer and double check because there are different ones depending on the Vin and year! Hope that helps! And thanks guys!

how bad an idea is it to drive the vehicle around with this code? i can't get the part for at least a week and the dealer has no spaces available for the same amount of time either.

There are 4 of those sensors so p000a,b,c,d might be the code it throws depending on which sensor is faulty.

@@fredoindakut I just know when I ordered mine they were vin specific. And certain years had different part numbers.
